SUMMARY
We have collected data in different places in HCI, and included the factors around, like shade, cloud cover, and proximity to water.
WHAT’S OUR HYPOTHESIS?
Our hypothesis is that concrete surfaces are generally hotter than non-concrete surfaces, since concrete absorbs heat around it.
DAY 1 OF FIELD WORK For Day 1, according to our data, the hottest
area was the open space, followed by garden, MSCP, fountain, running track, field, and the coolest, the terraces.
*The higher the ranking the cooler it is* Location RankingMSCP 3Garden 2Open Space 1Terraces 7Field 6Running Track 5Fountain Area 4
DAY 2 OF FIELD WORK For Day 2, our hottest area was the MSCP,
followed by the open space, fountain, garden, running track, field, coolest, terraces.
*The higher the ranking the cooler it is*

DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION A:MSCP Little Shade Concrete Consistently exposed to sun. No vegetation Breezy
DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION B:GARDEN Lots of vegetation, Abundance of shade Presence of Cloud Cover Non-concrete surface Slight Breeze
DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION COPEN SPACE Mostly exposed to the sunlight No vegetation Concrete surfaced No presence of wind
DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION DTERRACES Lots of shade Not much vegetation Concrete surfaced Windy
DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION EFIELD Breezy Presence of vegetation Exposed to sunlight Non-concrete surfaced Cloud Cover
DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION FRUNNING TRACK No signs of vegetation Non-concrete surfaced Breezy Exposed to sun Presence of Cloud cover
DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION GFOUNTAIN Exposed to sun Proximity to water Slight breeze Some (not much) shade No vegetation

CONCLUSIONSOur hypothesis can be accepted:It is proven that the hottest places in Day 1 and Day 2 are both concrete surfaced.
However our hypothesis can be rejected: The coolest places are supposed to be non-concrete surfaces , yet the terraces (concrete surfaced) was the coolest for both days.
POSSIBLE REASONS FOR REJECTION OF HYPOTHESIS: We started recording the temperature when
the reader have not finished recording. Not the same exact area to record in the 2
days Shade Height to measure the temperature
