Walsroder’s success story began all the way back in 1927 with the first artificial cellulose-based sausage casing. The highly successful Walsroder fibrous casing, a viscose-coated fibrous fleece, has been in production since 1956. These casings – made from the renewable raw materials cellulose and abacà (Manila hemp) – are constantly being updated in line with mod-ern applications and processing techniques in the sausage industry.

Walsroder fibrous casings fulfill all the requirements imposed on the manufacture of dry and semi-dry sausage, scalded and smoked cooked sausage as well as for dry cured and cooked cured meat products.

Graduated levels of impregnation provide the individual product lines with the desired meat cling properties. High size consistency and good machinability along with the high mechanical strength, optimal curing prop-erties and a natural appearance speak for themselves.Walsroder fibrous casings are physiologi-cally harmless in terms of food law, satisfy all legal requirements and compost naturally!

walsroder FrThe FR is the silk-matt model for dry sausage and many other sausage types. Variously graded impregnations guarantee custom meat cling.

walsroder FdrThe Walsroder FDR provides the shiny surface desired for semi-dry goods.

walsroder FmrThe naturally matt appearance of the FMR gives the sausage a fine, natural appearance and is therefore the perfect alternative to collagen casings and natur casings. Walsroder FMR offers the ideal cling base even with dipping coatings.

as if it was made just for youThere are four different patterns for the Walsroder fibrous casings: “Salamidessin”, “Schimmeldessin”, “Tauchoptik” and “Noblesse”.The four different print versions allow fine salami patterns without dipping or moulding of the sausage. This saves production costs whilst giving the consumer a fine appearance together with easy and clean peeling.
