AFSI‘s team of trained fiber optic professionals isknowledgeable and adept at specifying,qualifying, testing and assembling awide variety of components such assplitters, optical switches, transceiversand wavelength division multiplexers.Also, AFSI personnel are proficient atfusion splicing, stripping exotic jacketmaterials, precision tolerances andfiber winding.

For application-specific cable assemblydesign, AFSI develops individual shopf loor drawings and submits these to theproject prime for approval. Key draw-ing parameters include nominal cablelength, cable breakout areas, labelingand label placement, tolerances, pinassignment, channel orientation, colorcoding and bil l of material . During thecustomer review process, the user maywish to alter system parameters priorto approval. Upon final release, AFSIfabricates cables to the approved draw-ings, maintains revisions and developsinspection and material records foreach assembly.
