Description

The Gamewell-FCI, FML-E3 (Fiber-Optic Multi-Mode) andFSL-E3 (Fiber-Optic Single-Mode) are plug-in fiber loopmodules. The two types of fiber option modules are usedas one channel to transmit or receive communications withthe Gamewell-FCI RPT-E3-UTP (Network Repeater),ARCNET communication circuit.The following describe the two types of fiber option modules. The FML-E3 is a fiber module that allows the multi-

mode fiber to network between nodes. It features ST-style connectors with a maximum attenuation of 8db with 62.5/125 micrometer cable.

The FSL-E3 is a fiber module that allows the single-mode fiber to network between nodes. It features LC-style connectors with a maximum attenuation of 30db with 9/125 micrometer cable.

Each fiber loop module can Transmit (TX) or Receive (RX)fiber-optic cable connecting to the RPT-E3-UTP. Up to twofiber loop cards can be added to the RPT-E3-UTP, andboth cards may be combined in the same configuration.InstallationThe FML-E3/FSL-E3 modules are designed to be plugged-into their designated spots on the RPT-E3-UTP.
