Read through the fitting instructions before installation of the accessory. Install the accessory following the fitting instructions. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or the accessory.
Ensure all recyclables, discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling regulations.
It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified automotive Technician.
Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.
Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using automotive bare metal primer and touch-up paint, or suitable automotive rust inhibitor.
Remove all metals swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surfaces are used for accessory installation.

Important
Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual when removing vehicle components.
• Note down all clock and radio settings.
•
• Remove the LHS front scuff plate (1) and dislodge the rubber door seal (2).
In the engine bay, disconnect and isolate the negative battery terminal.

• Remove the LHS kick panel trim (1) by releasing the screw or plastic nut (2).
• Squeeze both sides of the glove box compartment (1) and swing the drawer downwards towards the footwell.
• On each bottom corner of the glove box compartment (1), pull the drawer up and towards the seat and remove from hinges.
Note - for Colorado 7 only:
• Remove glove box by angling towards you and pulling upwards.

Note - this step is not required for the Colorado 7:
• Remove the four phillips head screws (1) and remove the inner glove compartment trim (2).

• Dislodge the gear shift surrounding trim (1).
• Disconnect the connectors (2) from behind.

• Secure the Brake Controller ECU (1) onto the Brake Controller Bracket (2) using supplied M4 Screws (3) M4 Spring Washer (4) and M4 Flat Washers (5).
Note: Ensure the Brake Controller ECU is secured orientation as shown.

• In the glove compartment cavity, remove the vehicle 13mm bolt (1).
• Secure the Brake Controller bracket assembly (2) to the vehicle using the existing stud (3), the supplied M8 Nut (4) and M8 Washer (5).
• Secure the Brake Controller bracket assembly (2) in place using the previously removed 13mm bolt (1).
Important
Refer to workshop manual for recommended torque specifications.
*ECU not shown on bracket

• Connect the supplied Cat 5 Cable (1) to the Brake Controller ECU (2).

• Route the Cat 5 Cable (1) along the dash towards the gear shift area and secure to the existing vehicle harness using the supplied Cable Ties.
• Remove the RHS 12v socket (2) on the gear shift surround trim.
• Secure the unused connector behind the RHS 12v socket (2) in the vehicle using the supplied Cable Ties.

Important
Ensure the Cat 5 Cable (1) is secured away from any moving parts or sharp edges.

• Insert the supplied Switch Insert (1) into the vacant cavity on the gear shift surround trim (2).
• Insert the Electric Brake Switch (3) into the Switch Insert (1) from behind.
• Fasten the supplied Nut (4) locking the Electric Brake Switch (3) to the Switch Insert (1). Torque the Nut (4) to 0.8Nm.
• Rotate the shaft (5) full anti-clockwise and fit the knob (6) to the shaft (5) with “0" pointing upwards as shown below.
• Route the Cat 5 Cable (7) to the gear shift surround trim (2) and connect to the Electric Brakes Switch (3) from behind.
The following step is for the Colorado only, for a Colorado 7 proceed to Step 12.
• In the LHS rear wheel area, unfasten the three T20 torx screws (1) and remove the mudguard (2).
• Remove the four T20 torx screws (3), six scrivets (4) and the 10mm bolt (5).
• Remove the wheel arch lining (6).
Proceed to step 13.

The following step is for the Colorado 7 only, for a Colorado refer to Step 11.
• In the LHS rear wheel area, unfasten the three T20 torx screws (1) and remove the mudguard (2).
• Remove the two T20 torx screws (3), five scrivets (4) and the 10mm bolt (5).
• Remove the wheel arch lining (6).

• In the LHS front wheel arch, remove the two T20 torx screws (1), five scrivets (2) and the 10mm bolt (3).
• Release the three T20 torx screws (4) and remove the mudguard (5).
• Remove the wheel arch lining (6) and the foam support.

• In the LHS front wheel arch area, remove the vehicle grommet (1).
• Route the first grommet on the Electric Brake Harness (2) through the vehicle grommet hole on the vehicle chassis (3) before securing the second grommet in place.
• Continue routing the first grommet on the Electric Brake Harness (2) into the cabin through the previously removed vehicle grommet (1).
Note: If the first grommet hole in the chassis rail is occupied use the alternate route (4).
Important
Ensure the Harness Grommet is seated correctly to prevent any water ingress.

• Inside the vehicle, using the table below, house the terminals (1) from the Electric Brake Harness into the supplied 4-Way Connector (2), ensuring the terminals lock into the housing.
• Snap off the secondary lock (3) from behind the 4-Way Connector (2).
• Fit the secondary lock (3) to the underside of the 4-Way Connector (2).

• Connect the 4-way Connector (1) from the Electric Brake Harness to the Brake Controller ECU (2).
• From under the engine bay, route the Electric Brake Harness (1)
(BLUE, RED & RED/WHITE wires) along the top of the chassis rail towards the rear of the vehicle.
• Secure harness at every 300mm using supplied 900mm Cable Ties.

• Secure the Electric Brake Harness at every 300mm using the supplied 900mm Cable Ties (2).
Note : Ensure Cable Ties are behind the fuel lines (3).

• Continue routing the Electric Brake Harness (1) above the rear LHS wheel arch liner.
• Cable tie to the existing vehicle harness.

• Route the Electric Brake Harness (1) across the rear bumper towards the trailer socket head.
• Secure the Electric Brake Harness at every 300mm using the supplied 900mm Cable Ties.

• Remove the ‘BLUE’ wire (1) from the trailer wiring harness socket head (2).
• Tape back and isolate.
• Insert new ‘BLUE’ wire with brass ferrule from the Electric Brake Harness into the same position in the trailer socket.

• Locate ‘RED’ wire (1) on the trailer wiring harness socket head.
• Cut the wire 150mm from the base of the socket.
• Remove the cut ‘RED’ wire (1) from the trailer socket.

• Butt-splice and heat shrink the previously cut ‘RED’ wire on the vehicle end, to the ‘RED/WHITE’ wire on the Electric Brake Harness.
• Slide the supplied Heatshrink over the wires before c

rimping both wires to the supplied butt splice using indent type crimpers.
Solder the wires to the butt splice. Ensure that a good connection is made.
Wait for the butt splice to cool, slip heatshrink over the joint and heat.

3 4Keep heatshrink away from joint until after soldering is complete and cooled.
• In the engine bay, secure the ground ring terminal of the Electric Brake Harness (1) to the vehicle ground (2) on the chassis adjacent to the battery.
• Secure the positive ring terminal of the Electric Brake Harness (1) to one of the posts on the side of the battery terminal under the red cover (3).
• Secure the fuse to the harness next to the fuse box using the supplied Cable Ties.

• Insert new ‘RED’ wire with brass ferrule from the Electric Brake Harness into the same position in the trailer socket.

• Reconnect the engine bay negative battery terminal.
• Test the operation of the Tow-Pro system as per the Tow-Pro user manual.
• Dispose of any parts not used from the fitment.
Please place the Owners Manual in the glov box after installation completed.

ImportantSecure all harnesses to the vehicle using the supplied cable ties. Refit all removed parts and secure all fasteners to Service Manual torque specifications.
Important
Reprogram all radio stations and clock settings by referring to the vehicle's Workshop Manual.
