For those of you who aren't sure about what this newsletter is, it's basically another way of finding out current events happening in our key club and division. There will be one each month so be sure to read them to be updated!

Franklin Key Club

Information about Key Club:

For those of you who don't know much about Key Club or need a refresher, Key Club is an international organization consisting of many divisions. Franklin Key Club is part of division 26 along with other high schools including:

-West Seattle-High Line-Cleveland-Chief Sealth-Garfield-Evergreen-Mount Rainier-New Start-John F Kennedy-Seattle Lutheran

These schools are the ones we associate with during our divisional events (more info on pg 5)

Meeting Schedule:Every other Tuesday during 2nd lunch starting at 11:55am in Mr. Eaton's room. (room 16)First meeting is on Sept. 11

FRESHMAN:If you're a freshman, we understand that you won't be able to attend the meetings, but stay updated with our emails and newsletters and if you have further questions contact one of the officers!

President's Message

Hello everyone! I'm very happy to welcome all the returning members and new faces that are joining Key Club this year! I'm looking forward to making sure that we have a very successful year with the help of Marika Yaplee, Andy Luc, Dan Ly, & Sunny Ysa! Thank you very much & I hope you all enjoy participating in Key Club!

Hoodie designs! -If you're interested in designing our club hoodie, please feel free to do so!-We'll be collecting any ideas you guys have and we'll vote on them in the upcoming month or so-The winner will be given a free hoodie! (A $25 value for free!)

Requirements for the design:-Must include Franklin High School Key Club somewhere-The year shouldn't be included-The Key Club logo should be included (the logo below)

We hope some of you guys take an interest on doing this. We might make a few adjustments to the requirements in the future, but it shouldn't be a big change. If you have any other questions contact us!

Divisional Reminders & Senior Requirements

District Convention Meeting (DCM)A district convention meeting is basically a get-together with our division.(The schools listed on page 1) There is one every month and it's almost always a different location every month. This is a great way to meet new people and get more involved in Key Club! They're always fun and food is also provided!

Upcoming DCM:September 15 at Alki Beach12-4pm

We know Alki Beach might be far for some of you, but we still suggest you come if possible!

Senior Requirements:You must get at least 20 hours in Key Club

Attend at least 2 DCMs

Attend at least 80% of the meetings (unless legit excuse is given)

You must meet these requirements in order to obtain a medal for graduation!
