ago will pass into the hands of a new or ¬ ganization representing capital and experience and the five mills of the company which have been practically closed since the receivership com- menced ¬ will be reopened- The creditors of the company will be paid up dollar for dollar The new organizers have already deposited I 100000 for the payment of the first nstallment I At a meeting of the creditors held- in the office of Referee William Hun- ter ¬ yesterday afternoon practically 100 per cent of the creditors of the company were present The propo- sition ¬ to take over their interests on the baste outlined above was accepted- and Referee Hunter is today hard at work getting all the papers together so that he may Igo to Jacksonville tomor- row ¬ night and lay the matter before Judge Locke They spent- a most enjoyable day as all do who vis t Mr and Mrs Hightower at their nice farm on Heather Island Mr James Freeman who passed away after a long illness Saturday April 19th the home of his daugh- ter ¬ at Oxfor was born in Pitt county- N C and lived there until a young man when he moved into Lenoir county N C and married and had- a family of nine ehildreu In 1888 he came to Florida and in 1884 he re ¬ turned and brought his family and settled at Lake Weir Fla sand lived there until three years ago when his wife died He then moved to Shady Grove ± o live with his sons He was taken sick there and after several months illness became able to be mov- ed ¬ to his youngest daughters home where he died His seven children insisting of four boys and three girls wer all with him several days and he was conscious to the end and talked and knew all He was in his 76th year when he passed away and was brought t to Belleview and placed be ¬ side his wife The funeral services wer conducted by Rev P W Green who was of the same denomination- A large crowd attended and the flow- ers ¬ were beautiful and plentiful as it was Easter and it was a beautiful day Twentyseven relatives were pr4
