The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle is offering a journalism internship for college students. This is an unpaid position that will give you writing and reporting experience. You will publish work samples that you can show to prospective employers. Employers tend to prefer published work samples. You will learn a lot and have fun doing it. Application Deadlines: Dec. 1, 2019 for spring internship, April 1, 2020 for summer internship. To apply, send a resume, GPA, links to writing samples or attachments, and preferences regarding spring or summer 2020 to [email protected]. Please put “Journalism internship” and “spring applicant” or “summer applicant” (or both) in the subject line of your email. You will be given assignments and direction by Rob Golub, editor of the Milwaukee-based Chron- icle and former editor of The Journal Times, Racine County’s daily newspaper. Golub’s Racine newsroom won several first-place Wisconsin Newspaper Association and Milwaukee Press Club awards. Golub’s former interns (from The Journal Times) have worked at Facebook, Buzzfeed and news- papers around the nation. There are two part-time in- ternships. One is during the spring of 2020 and the other is for the summer of 2020. In- terns will work up to ten hours per week at Milwaukee Jewish Federation offices at 1360 N. Prospect Ave. in Milwaukee.
