Manually and mechanically actuated directional control valves
Impressive and powerful
Mechanically and manually actuated directional control valves for pneumatic
drives – when reliable and accurate metering is called for.
Festo offers a broad range of manually and mechanically actuated directional
control valves with the most diverse actuation and installation variants: front
panel valves; direct actuation; stem, roller, roller lever, button switch, finger
lever, hand lever, foot or whisker actuator – with or without detent.

Hand lever valves
The new sensor-enabled hand lever
valves VHER in plastic or metal
design. Ideal for manual actuation of
pneumatic drives. These modern hand
lever valves are characterised by
robustness and additional functions
such as lockability, position detection,
selectable outlet directions as well as
the practical inscription system.
Front panel valves and actuator
attachments
For manual control of pneumatic
power valves in plastic or metal.
Various actuator attachments such as
toggle and selector switches, key and
pushbutton actuators as well as
mushroom pushbuttons are available.
Safety as standard: the mushroom
pushbutton with detent also available
lockable.
Valves with barbed fittings
The valves with push-on PK-3
connectors are mechanically or
manually actuated valves in plastic
design for actuation of pneumatic
power valves. The comprehensive
actuation options in the form of stem
actuated, pushbutton, toggle lever,
finger lever, whisker, roller or roller
lever valves make this valve system
really versatile.
Valves with threaded connections
The valves with threaded connection
are metal valves that can be directly
or indirectly actuated. The wide range
of actuation types means that the
valves can be universally used. Stem
actuated, pushbutton, toggle lever,
finger lever, whisker, roller or roller
lever valves are available. Available in
the connection sizes M5, Gx or G¼.

hand lever valve is characterised by
robustness, additional options such
as lockability, position detection,
various outlet directions and the
practical inscription system.

The hand lever valves VHER and HS
can be used as 3/3-way valves by
sealing port 2
With these valves it is possible to stop
single-acting cylinders (3/3-way valve)
or double-acting cylinders (4/3-way
valve) within the stroke range.
In mid-position closed, the drive
piston moves until the forces are
balanced.
In mid-position exhausted the piston
can be moved manually; only the
frictional forces have to be overcome.

What must be observed when using Festo components?
Specified limit values for technical
data and any specific instructions
must be adhered to by the user in
order to ensure recommended operat-
ing conditions.
When pneumatic components are
used, the user shall ensure that they
are operated using correctly prepared
compressed air without aggressive
media.
When Festo components are used in
safety-oriented applications, the user
shall ensure that all applicable
national and local safety laws and
regulations, for example the machine
directive, together with the relevant
references to standards are observed.
Unauthorised conversions or modifi-
cations to products and systems from
Festo involve a safety risk and are
thus not permissible.
Festo does not accept any liability for
resulting damages.
