New Year!

New Year is celebrated on 1st January. People welcome New

Year at mindnight. We drink

champage and shoot bangers.

On 21 January we celebrate

Grandma’s Day. In nursey schools and other schools

it is organized

a show for grandparents.

Granchildren sing songs and say

poems.

Grandfather’s Day.

This day is celebrated on22th

January.

Grandfathers receive wishes and

presents from children and

grandchildren. Every granfather is pride and satisfy.

Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated on 14th February every year. Shopping centres and shop

windows are full of decorations:

-red hearts, soft toys - usually teddy bears, special greeting cards, chocolate and sweets in heart shape boxes. People usually write poems on cards which

are sent on ,,Valentine’s Day”. Children often make cards for

friends and their family. Adults buy special cards for people they

love. It is a very special day, because it is the time when we can tell sameone how much we

like her or him.

Women’s Day.

At this time every woman feels

distinguished. Boys buy

flowers and presents for their girls.

Easter

This is a religious holiday.

It explains how Jesus is still alive in our hearts. The symbols of Easter are lambs ang

eggs.

Mum’s Day- 26th May. On this special day every child

wishes all the best to his mother and gives many

kisses.

Child’s Day.

This day is celebrated on April all over the world. On

this day children are very happy and they smile.

Boy’s Day.

The Boy’s Day is celebrated on 30

September. They receive

small presents and sweets. It is a special day for

all boys.

Teacher’s Day.This day is

celebrated on 14th October. Each teacher has a

holiday on this day. Everyone is

happy. Teachers all over the world

receive flowers, wishes and small souvenirs from

students.

Christmas - It is a very special day, because it is

a day of Christ’s birth. We celebrate it on 27th Dcember. People go to the church on mindnight mass. We eat Christmas dinner. Main dishes are:

-carp in tomato sauce,-mishmash,

-herin with cream, -dumplings with cabbage and fungus,

-beetroot soup,and cakes:

-ginger bread,-popyseed cake,

-chesscake.There are twelve dishes at Christmas.

We decoreate the ChristmasTree. Later Father Christmas comes.

Children receive presets.
