Some basic sidewalk chalk provided, but please bring your own. (Non-toxic, environmentally friendly chalk only.) Please provide your own tools such as rags, squirt bottles, brushes, ladder, etc.

Surface will be upright plywood, coated with chalkboard paint, 4’x4’ per entry.

Artists may work any time between 6 pm Friday and noon July 11, ON MINERS DAY. Boards will be on Railroad Avenue, in Historic Black Diamond.

Miner’s Day is a celebration of the rootsand history of the coal mining community

in Black Diamond.

Sample the food, the fun, the hometownhospitality of Black Diamond.

And if you haven’t seen the Bronze Coal Minerand the Honor Garden that graces the museum

entrance you are in for a real treat!

Festival Activities begin with

the 7 am breakfast at

Black Diamond Bakery,

followed by the 5K run at 9 am.

Booths, entertainment, music and

silliness begin at 10 am on Railroad Avenue.

Black Diamond welcomes you home!
