Card Making Sales
The Cardmaking group have been working really hard making and selling Christmas cards. We
have been doing lots of Cardsales in Lewisham Shopping Centre since October and customers
have said how much they like the cards. Lots of customers have told us that they are sending
them to family and friends abroad to places like Australia, America and France. The students have
been brilliant with their
customer service and
money skills. Well done
to the Cardmaking
group and a big thank
you to Jon and Diana

Gardening Project
The gardening group were commissioned to clear a garden in Grove Park by Lewisham
social services.
Richard and Vincent were supported by staff Jonathan to do this and they have done a
fantastic job. The garden was extremely overgrown when they first started and it was im-
possible to reach the back of it due to the amount of brambles.
They have all enjoyed working hard and
have been racing back from lunch to
continue with their work! If you look at the
before and after pictures , you can see
the effort they have put into this garden.
We see a promising future for this enter-
prise and its hard working participants.
Thanks to Richard, Vince and Jonathan
for their great work.

band, beer and a horse racing themed birthday cake!
Everyone had a great time. Peter says he particularly liked the food, watching his housemate Glen dance to
Elvis and listening to the band play. Thank you to everyone
who attended and helped Pete
celebrate his special day

Billy went on a three day trip to Manchester with support staff, he

stadium. Billy is a big fan of football, he enjoys watching
football games and playing and listening to music. Billy
had so much fun, he was supported by staff to visit Rock

Welcome to Stockholm!
Vince and his Fiancé Teresa were supported by Michael to spend 6 days in
Sweden in November. Although the weather was frosty, they enjoyed visiting the
ABBA museum and singing.
They visited the science museum which had a virtual reality headset and a good
model railway which Vince loved!
Vince and Teresa eat out and had a giant pizza which Vince said he was very
impressed with.
They went on lots of trips to the zoo, an old Swedish village and the Natural History
Museum, all of which made this a holiday of a lifetime for Vince who has wanted
to go back to Sweden for many
years.

My holiday to the States
I had a lovely holiday to the states. This is one of the best trips I have ever had. I stayed with my aunt
in Bloomington a small village in Illinois Chicago. I was excited to see my nephew Alexander, Uncle
Dan and their little dog Tillie. My aunt drove me around whenever she had time and showed me
around, otherwise my support worker and myself strolled to different places. In America everything
is big. Their roads, their cars their houses and quantity of food is much bigger than ours. I saw a lot of
Halloween decorations which was really exciting. I am really looking
forward to going back to my aunts for my 30th birthday which will be in
two years’ time.
Ruby
Message From Ruby's Auntie: This is Pauline (Ruby’s Aunty). I just wanted to let you know how thankful and grateful we
are for sending Sheena all the way from the UK to fly Ruby to us, it meant the world to us. We greatly appreciate that
and we really enjoyed having her and Sheena here and we had such a great time.
When Ruby saw me at the airport, she came running and gave me a huge hug. It was so sweet, magical and I will never
forget that. I had tears in my eyes but of course they’re were tears of joy! Ruby loved helping me with chores around the
house. She helped with feeding the dog and giving the dog treats, took the garbage out, setting the table, putting dish-
es away, helped with cooking....she did it all and I miss her already!
My ten year old son loved spending time with Ruby and she loved watching him play video games. It was very cute to
see them both together especially that my son doesn’t have any siblings. Ruby has made plans already for her next visit
which will be on her 30th birthday! She wants to have a party outside our house with lots of balloons and a cake.
Sheena is such a hard working woman and has a heart of gold. She takes care of Ruby as though she was her own
daughter. Please, extend our gratitude to her as well. My husband and I are still in disbelief that you guys made this hap-
pen. We really appreciate everything that you did and everything you do for Ruby and again from the bottom of our
hearts thank you. We are very excited that we got to see her. You guys are amazing and we can’t thank you enough.
Best regards,
Pauline
