Accurate distributionThe bowl system delivers fertiliser direct to the spreading vanes to ensure the drop point does not change even when spreading on hillsides.

Accurate dosageThe shutter profile achieves an accurate dose both at low and high rates for fertiliser, slug pellets and grass seed.

Vortex systemSubtle agitation at the base of the bowl sets up a vortex to smoothly spin fertiliser through the shutter without causing damage to the material.

Consistent spreadTo ensure the most consistent spread in the field, each piece of ground receives 16 deliveries of fertiliser. Component wear is also reduced as the spreading work is shared between 8 vanes.

EASYtronic+

Either connect to existing tractor ISOBUS hardware or select EASYtronic+ CCI 200 terminal (illustrated).

Use either a proprietary GPS guidance system on the tractor, or a GPS speed sensor on-board the spreader. The on-board system is ideal when moving the spreader between tractors.

GPS optionTwo weigh cells sample machine weight every 100 milliseconds. An inclinometer is used to compensate for machine angle on hillsides.

We make every granule count!

Choose a spreading system that naturally eliminates errors and produces outstanding results.

In a single pass, the twin inward spinning discs both spread fertiliser to the next tramline on both sides of the tractor.

How the quadruple overlap works The Centerliner achieves consistency through applying little and often for outstanding coverage.

Fertiliser is spread to each piece of ground 4 times to create a Quadruple Overlap.

Resilient Accuracy

Consistent Coverage

Wind, driving errors and variation in fertiliser can combine and result in an uneven spread pattern. The gentle taper of the ‘triangular‘ spread pattern produced by the Centerliner distributes any error across the full width of the bout. A steeply tapering ‘trapezoidal’ pattern can focus error in the lapped area which is more likely to result in striping.

Not only is fertiliser spread to each piece of ground 4 times through the Quadruple Overlap, each disc has 4 vanes which divide the flow further resulting in 16 individual deliveries of fertiliser. The Centerliner applies little and often for outstanding coverage.

Alternative Pattern with 10% bout width error.

Trapezoidal pattern. The same variation is concentrated in a relatively small overlap area resulting in a significant local error.

In-Built Error OffsetWith the Centerliner, a skew in the spread pattern from one disc is typically offset by an equal and opposite effect from the second spreading disc.

Outstanding results

As standard, Centerliners are supplied with a hydraulic tilt cylinder that can be set up to tilt either to the right or the left hand side depending on whether the boundary is spread clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Operation of the hydraulic tilt from the tractor seat is straightforward with no need to get out of the tractor to change spreading discs or vanes.

By tilting the spreader, fertiliser is concentrated in the area between the boundary and the first tramline, so the boundary area is accurately spread in one pass.

The Centerliner is available with two boundary spreading systems:

Where a sharp cut-off is required, for example; adjacent to a watercourse, the optional CentraSide deflector system can be fitted to the Centerliner. The boundary is then spread from a tramline 2m from the edge of the field. When spreading under normal conditions the deflector is lifted out of the flow of fertiliser. Graph1

A partnership with shared values and objectives

In 2011 Teagle began distributing the Tulip range of arable products for the UK market, utilising our established national dealer network. The range comprises the established Centerliner broadcaster, as well as the high speed Multidisc compact disc harrow. More recently the innovative, Vario combination disc/tine cultivator designed for the UK market was added to the range. Tulip Industries was formed when

Peeters purchased the arable division of Lely in 2001. Immediately a state-of-the-art production facility was opened in Etten-Leur, Holland, dedicated to the design and production of arable products. The factory incorporates the latest laser and robotic manufacturing technology presenting an impressive, modern manufacturing facility constructed with a large financial investment and a long term vision and commitment.

Tulip is part of Peeters Landbouwmachines Group based in Holland. Peeters is a family owned business, incorporated over 40 years ago by its founder Piet Peeters. The business is now run by his son, Dannie, who takes a “hands on” approach to day-to-day activities. Today the Group employs 125 people over three sites, processing 5,000 tonnes of steel into machines for sale in over 45 different countries.

Fertiliser cost is a key factor in the profitability of our dairy enterprise

RICHARD TUCKER runs a 200 ha mixed farming enterprise situated on the hillsides of Mid Devon, “our focus is growing grass for our 240 spring-calving milking herd, we feed very few concentrates and a good-wedge of grass is crucial to the profitability of the business. We need lush, quality grass to ensure we keep concentrate requirements to a minimum, using a paddock grazing system on a 21-day rotation. We apply fertiliser as soon as the paddock is grazed to encourage a quick re-growth and assist in maintaining efficient milk production throughout the lactation”.

A Successful Combination

Fertiliser is applied with a Teagle Centerliner 2.5 SXi Fertiliser Spreader which sits easily on the JD6330 (105HP). “The size of the unit is perfect for us, the quadruple overlap ensures equal spread and an even swath which our milk production system demands” says Richard. “We spread at 20m bouts so on a 2 ha paddock we need good manoeuvrability of the spreading unit, underpinned with accuracy and flexibility. Although there is a high proportion of headland work in a grazing paddock the Centerliner tilt system covers simply and effectively day-in, day-out.

Flexibility & Efficiency

“The nature of the business means we often try to spread fertiliser just before the rain, a 2-bag spreader with 20m bouts means we can get out at short notice, the weigh cells ensure a quick and accurate calibration, automatically adjusted to deal with changes in tractor speed and fertiliser flow on an undulating terrain. The system also enables efficient application on the larger fields within the farm which are kept for silage and often fed to cows prior to calving and at the beginning of their lactation”.

Simplicity, Accuracy & Reliability

“We purchased the current Centerliner in 2017 to replace our 5-year old Centerliner SXC. We were immediately impressed with the new style hopper and the fully retractable cover which enables full access to the hopper and is better for loading. Fertiliser cost is a key factor in the profitability of our dairy enterprise, its purchase and application has to be managed efficiently to ensure we produce the best quality grass throughout the lactation. The Centerliner has been a key tool to assist this important aspect of our business for over seven years now, it’s simple to operate and always performs reliably.

1 Calibration bowlDose rate is affected by the physical characteristics of the fertiliser and atmospheric conditions. For the best results, set up your Centerliner using the optional calibration bowl. Not required for SXi models with weigh cells.

GearsWhen spreading under 18m with SX, SXe and SXi models select the optional 14-21 gear set. Above 18m select the standard 12-23 gear set. Gears are easily changed at the rear of the machine.

Wire AgitatorsTo prevent bridging, particularly with materials such as grass seed, we recommend the wire agitator kit which is easily fitted to the standard agitator discs.

Punched Hole SievesIn lieu of the standard mesh sieves for SX, SXe and SXi models, 12 mm punched hole sieves are available to ensure that ‘lumps’ of fertiliser do not pass through to the shutter which can affect flow rate, particularly when operating at low dose rates.

GPS Speed Sensor (SXe/SXi only)For the SXe and SXi models an on-board GPS speed sensor is available to detect tractor forward speed. This removes the need for a connection to the tractor radar or GPS system, ideal when moving the Centerliner between tractors. See page 5.

TeleSpace PTO Shaft(Standard on SXe/SXi)The TeleSpace is a telescopic PTO shaft which can be extended by 30cms to enable free access for connections to be made between Centerliner and tractor.

CentraSide Deflector system (SXe/SXi only)Where a sharp cut-off is required the optional CentraSide deflector system can be fitted to the Centerliner.
