A lot of energy is needed for the production of fertiliser. As much as 5% of the world's entire gas production is used for the production of ammonia, an important component of fertiliser. This equates to approximately 2% of the world wide energy consumption! Triggered by these energy facts? Have a look.

• Fertiliser is a solution for growing crops. It makes plants grow better and

faster.

• Thanks to Fertilisers, worldwide, food production is on the rise. Fertiliser

has been around since 1845.

• Now, 30% of the world's food production and 90% of the world's population

depends on it.

• The main component for the production of Fertiliser is urea, a product

consisting of ammonia and CO2.

• Its high level of nitrogen guarantees a low (transport) price for Fertiliser.

Challenge / question

Grains. Outside air. Suction, filtering and cooling.

The air conditioning unit takes care of it.

• A lot of energy is needed for the

production of fertiliser.

• As much as 5% of the world's entire

gas production is used for the

production of ammonia, an important

component of fertiliser.

• This equates to approximately 2% of

the world wide energy consumption.

• This is the reason why many fertiliser

factories are located in countries that

are rich in oil or gas.

• Fertiliser is produced in grains which

are initially damp and therefore

require drying.

• The best result is obtained by using

very dry and warm air in a fluidised

bed. This enables us to supply a large

amount of important components.

Challenge / question

Grains. Outside air. Suction, filtering and cooling.

The air conditioning unit takes care of it.

• A Bronswerk® Air Conditioning Unit sucks

in outside air, filters it and cools the air to

extremely low temperatures.

• As a result, humidity rises to 100%; the

moisture 'rains' down from the air.

• Cooling takes place by evaporating

ammonia that circulates via natural

convection.

• In order to reduce the moisture even

further and remove the last humidity from

the air, it has to be preheated.

• We are experienced in designing and

producing Air Conditioning Units and

Thermosyphon systems whereby

centrifugal fans move the air.

Challenge / question

Grains. Outside air. Suction, filtering and cooling.

The air conditioning unit takes care of it.

• We have been manufacturing these fans

for nearly a century, using any required

material and to any desired shape or form.

• To completely dry the grains, a large

number of air heaters are required.

• As we also design and produce these in

all sizes, shapes and forms, we are able to

supply all required components.

• Furthermore, Bronswerk® is able to offer a

suitable and most efficient solution for

other types of heat exchangers that are

often required as part of the process.

• We manufacture equipment and

components using any material available

and according to every certification,

worldwide.
