Ferrocast is an organic, plastic-like material which in raw state, is liquid. It is then mixed and poured around a steel core into the desired street furniture shape to form a solid, durable material. Originally Ferrocast was used to replicate Victorian cast iron street furniture that had perished or to create new items sympathetic to an existing scheme. The range has now been expanded to include modern designs, with new colours, styles and features. Today Ferrocast street furniture is specified to create both traditional landscapes and contemporary schemes. No other material can provide the variety of solutions required by today’s streetscape designers. The versatility of the material and the flexibility of the manufacturing process make it possible to offer standard products with customised detailing, including crests and logos. n The largest range of polyurethane bollards available, containing both traditional
and contemporary designs.
n Manufactured from engineering grade polyurethane and cast around a steel
core which makes them virtually inert. The non ferrous exterior means that
the bollard body will never rust, making them particularly suited to saline
environments.
n Bollards can be manufactured to an anti-ram specification, these are moulded
around several inner steel cores.
n The range also includes special bollards such as Billy and Belinda and large
coloured pencils, designed for use around school pedestrianised areas.
n Root fixing is the standard product fixing method for Ferrocast bollards.
Base plate versions are also available on most bollards.
n RAL colours, second colours, highlights, reflective discs and visibility bands and
coats of arms, logos and crests are available to order.

n Ferrocast Decorguard Post and Rail Systems are a decorative means of restricting
access to potentially hazardous areas. They are ideally suited to waterfronts,
on bridges and near steep inclines. Decorguard Pedestrian Guard Rails provide
the means of directing pedestrians in those areas where they could come into
conflict with traffic.
n Decorguard Post and Rail Systems are available in both traditional Victorian
designs and modern contemporary styles.
n Ferrocast’s maximum resistance to rusting, water, saline, uric acid and other chemical
corrosion makes it the ideal material for waterside and coastal installations.
n Post and rail systems are available to meet ROSPA and BSI guidelines.
DDA handrails can be specified. Variable diameters of rail can be incorporated.
Features such as lighting can be built into the handrails, crests and company
logos can be featured on the posts.
n Decorguard Pedestrian Guard Rails safely separate pedestrians from heavy
traffic. Composite Ferrocast posts can be combined with a standard range of
high visibility panels, or custom made panels can be made to order. Decorguard
Pedestrian Guard Rail Systems have the advantage of bending, not shattering or
shearing, on impact.

tree grilles and guards as it is durable and lightweight. A Ferrocast tree grille is
not only resistant to corrosion but also to the degradation that can be caused

n The Waterside Range is a co-ordinated suite of Ferrocast street furniture.
Developed following the specification of the Llanelli post and rail system at
many coastal and riverside locations, The Waterside Range meets the need for
modern, highly durable street furniture.
n The Waterside Range is based around a unique elliptical form. This results in a
highly contemporary and functional design. The standard range is silver, but is
available to order in other colours. Seating slats are available in silver or black,
other colours are available as a special request.
n Seat and bench slats are made from Wood Fibre Composite (WPC), comprising
50% sawdust from waste wood and 50% recycled polymer. WPC is longer lasting
than wood as it resists moisture and chemicals, does not absorb bacteria or
funghi and is impervious to pests. WPC is coloured throughout, it does not need
paint, sealants or preservatives and its protective finish is resistant to most paints
and inks.
n The oval shape of the Waterside Bin provides a smaller footprint helping to
maximise pedestrianised areas. It features either single or twin lockable, front
opening, hinged doors for litter removal.
