R Protection Systems TM A UTC Fire & Security Company Effective: June 2007 F-74-231 FenwalNET™ 2000 Expansion Enclosure DESCRIPTION The FenwalNET™ Expansion Enclosure is a heavy duty enclosure made of 16 gauge steel. This enclosure is iden- tical in size and color to the FenwalNET 2000 system con- trol panel. This enclosure utilizes the same lock and latch as the control panel. Locking and unlocking is accom- plished with the same key as the control panel. The enclosure is beige with a FenwalNET 2000 logo on the door. The door can be easily removed by opening the door 90° from its closed position and lifting up from the hinge socket. This feature allows easy access for mainte- nance and installation of the enclosure. The FenwalNET expansion enclosure is designed to accommodate three hardware configurations by utilizing the different back plates listed below: 1. I/O Module Card Cage for mounting up to eight (8) I/ O modules with provisions for one (1) I/O mother- board and four (4) power supply modules. 2. Provisions for up to eight (8) power supply modules. 3. Two (2) I/O module card cages for mounting up to sixteen (16) I/O modules with provisions for two (2) I/ O motherboards. The above back plates are illustrated on the reverse side of this data sheet. The back plates are easily fastened into the expansion enclosure by seven supplied mounting nuts.
