The ideals in one tractor series

The comfort front linkage transfers the weight of ground-hugging imple-ments to the front axle. This is a particular advantage when operating a front mower or a snow plough, since implement guidance can be quickly adjusted to uneven surfaces.

The ingenious Fendt Vario transmission

The Fendt Vario transmission is a hydrostatic-mechanical power split drive. With increasing speed, the share of the mechanical power transmitted through the planetary set increases. The hydrostats can be swung 45 degrees and have a high operating pressure of max. 550 bar – this ensures exceptional efficiency.

The driving mode can be individually and freely selected, depending on the area of application. Operators can choose the driving pedal mode or, alternatively, control speed via the joystick, with up to four acceleration rates.

The compact cooler unit is very easy to access and can be easily cleaned thanks to the large spaces

between the radiators and the flat floor. The smart heat exchanger design lowers hydraulic and transmission oil temperatures, which has a positive effect on the efficiency and lifetime of the tractor.

The engine compartment is very easy to access for inspection and maintenance, even when the front

loader mounting parts are attached. The one-piece bon-net with two separate side panels can be opened without tools.

The fuel consumption indicator not only monitors the current consumption, but also logs the con-

sumption for different operations. Furthermore, it assists the operator in maintaining an efficient driving style.

TMS and maximum output control

On a Fendt Vario, automated functions optimise driving. The Tractor Management System TMS controls the engine speed and transmission ratio to ensure as low a fuel consumption as possible. With the automatic maximum output control, the engine load is adapted to the particu-lar operation.

With SCR technology, exhaust is after-treated with AdBlue®, a 32.5 percent solution of urea, which converts nitrous oxides NOx into non-toxic nitrogen and water. The consumption of AdBlue, the standard urea-water solution used by commercial vehicles, lies at an average of seven percent of the diesel consump-tion. This can vary depending on the operation. AdBlue® is available all over the world at filling stations or through AGCO Parts.

Automatic steering axle lockthe optional automatic steering axle lock auto-matically unlocks the steering axle at a prede-fined speed on trailers with self-steering axles. On straight stretches, the rigid self-steering axle ensures stable handling. Operators do not need to lock the self-steering axle manually outside of the preselected speed range and when reversing.

Get back home safely: The integrated coming home light permits operators to climb down

from the tractor safely, even in the dark. The head-lights continue to shine a while longer after the tractor is switched off.

Comfort and safety

Shock load stabilising prevents the tractor and implement from bouncing by actively counteracting movements using the hydraulics. It reduces pitching movements so you benefit from improved steering safety and higher ride comfort.

The arrangement of the lights in the 700 Vario is unique – the work lights are “cross-eyed”. This pre-

vents all shadows and reflections so operators profit from an optimally illuminated field of vision.

The corner lights illuminate the entire wheel arch in the front. This gives you an excellent view to

the track at night.

The design of the suspension on the 700 Vario enables maximum ride comfort in the field and on the road. The combination of front axle suspension, cab suspension and seat suspension, which provide a driving sensation on par with passenger cars, was adopted from the high-horsepower tractors.

With the VarioActive superimposed steering system, a stronger steering ratio can be activated. It adapts itself to the steering movement and ground speed. This enhances operating comfort, especially for front loader work in tight farmyards or at the headlands.

Powerful lighting concept

The ingenious lighting concept on the 700 Vario doesn't leave you in the dark. The work lights on the 700 Vario can be individually adjusted for up to 360 degrees of illumina-tion. Xenon or LED lights are available as an option.

The lighting is easily set and adjusted thanks to its straightforward layout. With the smart one-button

system, all previously set work lights can be switched on easily and quickly with just one touch of a button in the membrane keypad.

The front axle, which has a suspension system as standard, enables high payloads along with the best ride comfort. The +/– 50 mm suspension travel, absorbs uneven surfaces very well. The swing angle of 8° ensures stability while driving. A front axle steering angle of 52° guarantees maximum manoeuvrability.

The Fendt VisioPlus cab the Fendt VisioPlus cab is a true visibility and space wonder. the windscreen curves up into the roof and provides a full view of the raised front loader. More room and nearly six square metres of glazing make the cab feel very spacious. the ergo-nomic, intelligent operating interface and the high-quality workmanship, provide you with the convenience and comfort that substantially increase your performance.

Open or closed?the front windscreen on the VisioPlus cab is a true plus in visibility. the curved top of the window has tripled the upward view angle. the downward sightlines through the front windscreen and the waisted bonnet have been optimised for an ideal view to the wheel arches. the front window of the Fendt 700 Vario is offered in two variants: the first is the familiar opening window with doors on the right and left. if you prefer an absolutely unob-structed view, we recommend the second stand-ard version with a continuous front windscreen and a door on the left side.

The upward viewing angle has been tripled. The down-ward sight lines have also been optimised and it is easy to see into the wheel arches.

The models in the 700 Vario series offer outstanding all-round visibility. The front window and right window panes are available in a one-piece version as standard for an optimum view to mounted implements.

The cockpit is positioned in the cab in such a way that it optimises visibility to the front and rear. The

components at the front and rear are also fitted in such a way that they do not impair visibility.

The interior lighting in the 700 Vario is perfectly designed for the important areas. An LED light

illuminates the entire entry area. The right armrest with the control elements is also illumi-nated with a suitably positioned LED light. The ambient lighting is ideal, if dimmed light is desired.

The segment wipers can be set to intervals, like in passenger cars, and clean the front window relia-

bly. The exclusive parallel wiper offers optimum wiping characteristics (in photo).

The opaque roller shade in the front serves as a glare shield when the sun shines low. What's spe-

cial: It is tailored to the curved shape of the front wind-screen and covers the complete width of the window. Furthermore, it holds in any position and disappears com-pletely in the roof liner when it is no longer needed.

The dashboard pivots along with the steering wheel, when it is adjusted. It is therefore always in

the best ergonomic position for the driver and always in full view.

A special feature of the 700 Vario is the vertical handle in the rear window, which is always within

reach.

The view from the driver seat of the 700 Vario is unique. The large glazed areas, enhanced by the elimination of the B-pillar on the right side, provides a tremendous sense of space.

The optional wide-angle mirror expands the field of vision, which greatly enhances safety. You have a better overview of things that are happening on the sides of the tractor. The hazard zone, which is usually located in the blind spot, is easier to see into and unforeseen situations can be avoided.

Ergonomics as never beforeWhen developing the 700 Vario, special emphasis was placed on the ergonomic design of the opera-tor environment. all operating functions have been optimally placed on the right armrest, which moves along with the driver seat, and in the new Varioterminal. the steering wheel is height and tilt adjustable. the instrument cluster swings along with it and is therefore always in an ideal position. air-conditioning is standard and automatic cli-mate control is available as an option.

The final touch in comfortMany small details as just a pleasure: lED entry lights in the roof liner, ambient lighting in the cab, a cooling compartment, various storage spaces and much more are your practical daily helpers. Enjoy either the low noise level in the cab or the best sound through the MP3 radio with sound sys-tem. and if you're not working alone, there is a comfortable seat for your passenger. the comfort passenger seat is completely cushioned and offers plenty of sitting space.

The air-conditioning, radio, tachograph and VarioGuide guidance are neatly installed in the

roof liner. The devices are perfectly positioned so they do not impair visibility and it is easy to accommodate retrofit solutions.

In a Fendt cab you will find many different stow-age spaces and compartments, so that everything

has its place. For example, three stretch nets, which can be reached from the ground, stowage compartments around the driver seat as well as a bottle holder.

Fendt offers a clever solution for cables that run from the rear of the tractor into the cab. The rear

window can be closed, so dirt and noise stay outside.

The stretch nets under the passenger seat in the front of the cab are positioned so that they can

be reached from the ground – operators do not need to climb into the cab to get things out of them.

There is space for a meal and a cool drink in the air-conditioned cooling compartment.

The air-suspended super comfort seat is equipped with heating, a rotary adapter, low frequency suspension, pneumatic lumbar support and easy armrest adjustment, so operators can find their perfect sitting position.

The “4-in-1 Varioterminal”1,920 hand movements less per dayDuring turning manoeuvres at the headland, oper-ators usually have to change between different controls, sometimes up to 12 times. in the 700 Vario it is not necessary to change controls, because the right armrest is the central operating control. Operators can rest their arm on it and con-trol the tractor and implement using the multi-function joystick and Varioterminal. the linkage control module next to the crossgate lever con-trols the quick lift switch, depth control and engagement of the front and rear PtO. thanks to

headland management, standard on the 700 Vario, operating errors during turning manoeuvres are a thing of the past. With just a touch of a button, operators can activate auto-mated operating sequences at the headlands. to optimise the sequence of the steps, they can also be edited and adjusted individually when the tractor is at a standstill. On a 10-hour day with some 160 turning manoeuvres, that can save operators up to 1,920 hand movements.

The Fendt Variotronic

Headland management

With VariotronicTI headland management, operators can create and save operating sequences while driving or stand-ing still. Up to 22 steps can be programmed for the sequences for the front and rear linkage (1), front and rear PTO (2), actuation of the hydraulic valves (3), cruise control (4) and engine speed, 4WD (5) and differential (6) as well as TMS . The sequence is displayed along with the triggers, such as time or distance. Individual steps can be edited at a later time.

For repeating operations, which require a constant engine speed, rpm and driving speed can be set and saved independent of each other. They can be called back up by pressing the button on the joystick, overall, two settings can be saved.

ISOBUS implement control

The ISOBUS implement control is perfectly integrated in the 7“ and 10.4” Varioterminals (not on Power version). The implement is controlled with the terminal and joystick, (if supported by implement) an additional terminal is not required.

As needed, the functions for the implement control and headland management can be assigned to the

multifunction lever, if supported by the implement. Every operator finds the perfect operating ergonomics for the operation at hand. In general, settings for up to 25 imple-ments can be saved.

With VariotronicTI automatic headland management, the sequences are automatically triggered at the headland. In the terminal, you can set which sequences will be used when going into and coming out of the turn. An intuitive graphic aids you in the process.

VariotronicTI automatic

Precision during applicationthe implement control features automatic sectioncontrol. When working with sprayers, fertiliser spreaders, precision air seeders and seed drills, sectioncontrol provides further savings potential for inputs. this has a positive effect on your cost calculation and also for the environment.

The new SectionControl function enables fully automatic section control via GPS signal, dependent on the desired degree of overlapping. Up to 24 sections can be set when using ISOBUS-capable sprayers, fertiliser spreaders and seed drills. This results in precise work results and saves seeds, fertiliser or pesti-cides by preventing double applications or treatments of areas outside of the field. And it makes work easier for operators, day and night.

The controls for SectionControl integrated in the Varioterminal are simple and easy to understand.

The antenna unit can be easily transferred between pre-equipped machines in a matter of

minutes. The individual components, such as the anten-na, receiver and roll bias compensation unit are accom-modated in a compact housing unit and fully integrated in the roof. The antenna is therefore optimally protected against external influences such as blows from branches, as well as theft.

With VarioGuide, operators can concentrate fully on the implement. That increases performance and has a posi-tive impact on the overall quality of work, even in poor visibility conditions. In addition to the US GPS satellites, VarioGuide, which is operated with the Varioterminal, is capable of using the Russian GLONASS satellite system and is also ready for use with the planned European Galileo system. The parallel use of several systems guarantees that the automatic steering system is highly reliable.

You can choose from many service providers for the correc-tion signals. VarioGuide works via mobile network using satellite-based signals, such as EGNOS or OmniSTAR, as well as ground-based RTK signals via radio oder mobile service (Ntrip). VarioGuide supports open formats such as RTCM 3.1. You therefore have the choice of three accuracy classes from +/– 20 cm to +/– 2 cm. The RTK base station offers the highest accuracy.

VarioGuide automatic steering

VarioGuide automatic steering system in the 700 Vario Fendt offers the VarioGuide automatic steering system in the power segment from 145 to 240 hp for the first time. VarioGuide is optimally inte-grated in the Variotronic and can be operated with the Varioterminal. VarioGuide can reduce overlap-ping by an average of six percent and save fuel and inputs, such as seeds and fertiliser, by six per-cent. Operators can easily monitor the tractor and implement with VarioGuide, even at night and in poor visibility conditions.

VarioGuide light – the simple guidance systemVarioGuide light is the economical solution for agricultural businesses, such as dairy farms, mixed farms or market fruit farms, which are looking for a cost-effective guidance system primarily for till-age. integrated in the Varioterminal 7”, it offers an accuracy of +/- 20 cm. Please note that VarioGuide light cannot be upgraded to higher accuracies.

Modern job management with VarioDocDocumentation is the most important basis for farm management for agricultural businesses. With the new VarioDoc, relevant data can be recorded with a minimum of effort, documented in the field record and analysed in the shortest amount of time. Using the Varioterminal, all important information can already be entered in the field so that follow-up work in the office is reduced to a minimum. and it works the other way around, too – jobs can be created using the Pc and transferred to the terminal.

Versatility and performance

On the 700 Vario, the hydraulic connections in the front have their own control values and no longer communicate with the rear valves. You therefore have a full five valves at the rear plus two full valves in the front.

The PTO has outstanding efficiency, since power to the PTO stub flows through a direct drive line

from the Vario transmission. At the same time, the rated speeds 540 and 1,000 rpm are already attained at an engine speed below 2,000 rpm, which has a positive effect on lowering fuel consumption.

The front linkage has been designed to be an inte-gral part of the compact vehicle. It therefore pro-

vides easier and more stable guidance of front imple-ments.

The comfort front linkage on the 700 Vario has optional load relief control. It allows the weight of the implement to be transferred to the tractor over a defined pressure. The pres-sure can be readjusted during operation.

Both the DCUP and CUP couplings permit the hydraulic valves to be coupled under pressure;

mounting and removing implements is easy. The self-clos-ing valve flaps offer secure protection against contamina-tion through dirt or water.

Fendt offers external controls for the rear linkage and rear PTO engagement to simplify mounting

implements at the rear. The engine speed can be increased via the rear PTO automatic and the desired PTO speed can be targeted. This eliminates unnecessary steps, for exam-ple, when starting the suction for the slurry tank.

Intelligent control at the frontthe maximum lift capacity at the front is 4,418 dan. the comfort front linkage has optional load relief control, which can be adjusted using the Varioterminal. it uses the double-acting front linkage valve to lower the implement and trans-fers the weight of the implement to the front axle. this is a particular advantage when operating a snow plough or a front mower in grassland opera-tions, since implement guidance can be quickly adjusted to uneven surfaces. Relief springs for the mower are no longer required.

The right speedthe PtOs can be easily controlled via the multi-function armrest. External controls are also availa-ble at the rear. the PtO speeds (540/540E/1000) at the rear enable work at a lower engine speed, which means lower fuel consumption. the front PtO (540 or 1000 rpm) also permits a broad range of operations.

Intelligent technology at the front and rearPowerful hydraulic systemthe hydraulic system features modern load-sens-ing technology. Delivery capacities of 109 or 152 litres per minute are possible as an option. the separate transmission and hydraulic oil supplies prevent oil mixing and contamination in the trans-mission. Furthermore, bio-hydraulics oils can be used.

Powerful lift at the rearthe electrohydraulic rear linkage has a maximum lift capacity of 9,580 dan. the new load compen-sating rear linkage is a great gain in comfort. the lowering speed that has been entered is main-tained, whether the implements are heavy or lightweight.
