They were married in Brooklyn, New York, on September 29, 1940. They moved to the local area in 1945 and, for many years, were the owners of Marco’s Children Shop in Pleasantville. They moved to Ventnor in 1979. They are the proud parents and in-laws of Barbara and Steven Perskie of Margate and Linda and Philip Weiner of Ventnor; the very proud grandparents of David Perskie of La Jolla, California, Joseph Perskie and his wife Pamela, of Little Silver, New Jersey, and Bethany Perskie, of New York City; and the most proud great-grandparents of Sasha Rose Perskie, also of Little Silver and Margate. WEDDINGS ALLGEYER GILBERT LEROY AND BEVERLY GILBERT Beverly and Leroy Gilbert celebrated 50 years together on September 24th. Someone “got the net” and scooped the entire family together for a festive dinner at Charlie’s in Somers Point on Saturday. If I had words to make a day for you, I’d sing a morning golden & true I would make this day last for all time then fill the night deep with moonshine MICHAEL MODLOCK AND ERIN ENGLE Kathy and Al (Inky) Engle of Northfield, NJ are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Erin Kathleen Engle, to Michael Donald Modlock, son of Lilian Modlock of Dorset, England, and Donald Modlock of London, England. Dr. Engle is a 1997 graduate of Mainland Regional High School. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2001. She obtained a MA in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from Columbia University in 2004. She completed a Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology from the Virginia Consortium in 2009, and gratuated from the Eastern Virginia Medical School. Commencement Exercises in May 2010. She is currently employed as a licensed supervising staff Psychologist at Sarah Lawrence College. Michael is originally from London, England. He studied business in college and graduated from the University of London with a degree in Environmental Management. He works in the financial derivates industry in Manhatten. An early fall 2010 wedding is planned in New York City where they currently reside. SPUHLER - KRABBENHOFT LAUREN SPUHLER AND ADAM KRABBENHOFT Joseph and Holly Spuhler of Wildwood, NJ announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Anna, to Adam Robert Krabbenhoft, son of Al and Marsha Krabbenhoft of Omaha, Neb. The couple lives in Knoxville, Tenn., where Lauren works as a Web producer for the Knoxville News Sentinel and Adam works as an engineer for Aggregates USA. Lauren and Adam are planning a June 2011 wedding in Wildwood, NJ. A beautiful evening ceremony and reception were held at Lucien’s Manor in Berlin, NJ on September 26, 2009. Desiree is a 2001 graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School and a 2005 graduate of The College of New Jersey. She is currently employed as a counselor for Family Service Association. Michael is a 1997 graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School and served five years in the United States Marine Corps. He is currently employed by The Clam Bar in Somers Point. The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and currently resides in Egg Harbor Township. She was born on May 8, 2010 at 2:26PM, weighing 7lbs. 12 oz. and measuring 20 ½ inches long. Callie is welcomed with open arms by her big sister, Grace Kathryn (5 yrs old) and her big brother, David Brent (3 yrs old). Thrilled grandparents include Connie and Mike Erskine of Northfield and David and the late Joanne Bean of Glen Burnie, Maryland. Jean Foxwell (Mee Maw) of Cambridge, Maryland is the very proud great- grandmother of Callie Joanne. She went on to graduate from Stockton College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Kimberly works full time at Tropicana Casino as an Auditor and also teaches various types of dance at Pizzazz Dance Center in Newfield part time. The future groom is the son of Frank and Rita Costanzo of Margate. Christopher graduated from Holy Spirit High School. He also is a graduate of Stockton College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Christopher currently works for Durand Glass Manufacturing Company in the field of Human Resources. The two met when their career paths crossed in the Casino Industry several years ago. From a friendship grew a loving relationship and will continue on to a fall wedding in 2011. MR. & MRS. FERNAND E. ALLGEYER 60TH ANNIVERSARY Mr. Fernand E. Allgeyer married Vita Vaccaro on September 24, 1950 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Howard Beach, NY. On this day he also celebrated his 20th birthday. Mr. & Mrs. Allgeyer have two sons, Steven, Robert, his wife Caroline, twin daugthers, Jacqueline (deceased) her husband Burt, Joann and 4 grandchildren, Brittany, David, Danielle and Joel.
