Founded in 1938 by Leo Fender, known then as “Fender’s Radio Service”

Headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ Famous for designing the Telecaster and

Stratocaster guitars Sold to CBS in 1968 for $13 Million Bought back by employees in 1985,

name changed to Fender Musical Instruments Corporation
