Amanda Peters arrived December 21, 1981 into the Peters family and became the Hoff’s fourth granddaughter. They were living in Fergus Falls, Mn.Nothing like having built in baby sitters!

Felix spent as much time as possible at the ranch. Wallace Mcclaflin leant a helping hand when possible. But there always had to be some time for fishing.

Melanie and family lived less than a half hour away so Bessie & Felix got to see Amy and Mathew more than some of the other grandchildren. Lucky them!

Stacy gave a tour of Portland that included a Ferris Wheel Museum.

Stacy graduated from College in Hotel & Restaurant Management in Portland, Oregon in June of 1987. Bessie, Felix and Barbi Peters came to celebrate along with Ray and Phyllis. Barbi’s 12th birthday was also celebrated on the 10th.

November 30, 1988 marked Bessie and Felix Hoff’s 50th wedding anniversary. The celebration was in August so more friends and family could attend. It was held at the Lutheran church in Blackfoot, Idaho.

Four generations.

July 23, 1988 Blair Andrew Sammons was born to Steve & Elizabeth Sammons in El Segundo, California. He was the first great grandchild for Bessie & Felix. Pictures taken in Idaho around Christmas time.

They planted 100’s of tulip bulbs in the front. In the spring it was beautiful.

They removed the house sign from Blackfoot to Firth.

Moving day exhausted Melanie and during a break she collapsed on the cool lawn.

In 1989 Felix and Bessie sold their house in Blackfoot, ID and moved 12 miles north to a house Felix remodeled in Firth, ID. Bessie closed her Blackfoot Beauty Shop and opened one in the Firth Home.

There use to be a beach and some shade to take a nap. The river keeps changing the shore line and maybe the beach will come back.
