Feeling Good and Staying Healthy
In this challenging and critical time, sometimes it is
helpful to use our time in a practical and creative
manner.
Please join us to take part in our journey to the
discovery of Feeling good and staying Healthy
In this session, you will learn how to take care of
yourself and learn simple activities to build up your self-
confidence, self esteem and healthy living activities that
you can use every day. During the session the
educator will share simple physical activities and
making healthy snacks

Feeling good and Staying Healthy
► Body Image and Self-Care.
► During this tough and challenging time of COVID-19 it is easy to berelaxed and not to follow our normal daily routine. The goodnews is we can keep up and create a positive self-care andbody/self-image every day. Positive body image is how peoplefeel about their body, and how they take care of it. Positive bodyimage could result to positive self-esteem and self-confidence. Itis how we feel about our self and how we treat our body to havehealthy outlook
► A daily simple routine to keep up with what we
used to do prior to COVID 2019.
.● Do what we usually do such us having shower in the morning orevening.
● Make sure to clean your teeth at least twice a day. Comp
hair daily.
● Change fresh socks and have clean clothes during the week.
●.Exercise, dance to your favorite songs, move your body,
●Get more Sleep.
● Remember the importance of good habits and eating healthy.
Self Esteem: Self Esteem is the value we place on what we believe
to be true about ourselves. Our self-esteem affects all the choices we
make in our daily life. Therefore, in this uncertain time it becomes
very important that we recognize the acceptance of self and work
toward managing a positive self-esteem no matter what we are going
through at this time.
Self Confidence: self-confidence is to trust in ourselves. We trust
ourselves that we can do things we are comfortable with. We show
the ability to work successfully and engage with others and our
surroundings. If you have good self-confidence you are prepared to
face any challenges that you may encounter. Self-esteem and self-
confidence work together to give us the opportunity to recognize our
strengths and personal values and qualities.
What can we do to improve our self –esteem and self- confidence?
● Self-awareness and self-acceptance, know more about who
we are.
● Value self and respect others.
● Understand the changes in our life and explore ways to deal
with it.
● Think positive and be optimistic and appreciate good
comments from others.
● list your strengths and be proud to talk about your personal
qualities. Keep high self esteem.
● List activities and find your strengths, such as dancing, cooking,
creative arts, and work on these projects
● Make things to donate or share with families and friends.
● Play games with families. Play inside and outside home. Enjoy the
fresh air
● Stay fit and eat healthy.● Have a sense of humor.
Two thing I do that I feel good about Two things I like about myself
Two things I have accomplished that were hard for me to do in the past two months.
Staying Fit and Healthy:
Daily exercise and physical fitness improve our mental and physical wellbeing.
We need to do at least 60 minutes of daily exercise to stay fit and healthy.
Some activities include: • Start with easy exercises 12-15 rep
• Chair activities in different styles
• Jump rope 30-50 jumps or more
• ( get overall body movement)
• Walking in the park or in the neighborhood
• Body squats, and Sit Ups
• Box step up
• Star jumps
• Hula Hoops
• Yoga or any other mind calming exercises
• Hand and leg raises,
• Other activities of your choice and abilityResources:
