This site has a totally new look for the Feeder DTC details. However data base is same for both the

sites.

Procedure for Feeder Master Update at Local CMS :-

Please download the ho_feeder_master.dmp file from www.mahadiscom.in/emp folder.

This dump is only available on Mondays. Import the following tables from this dump into local CMS

user / Hourly data user / mapping user

 Ho_feeder_master :- Feeder master Table

 Feeder_DTC_master. :- DTC Master Table

Before import please rename / backup the existing tables.

Now execute the procedure ‘ss_insert_proc’ to recreate the ho_feeder_master_ss table.

Please note that the ho_feeder_master_ss table is created every time the procedure is fired. Every

month at Head Office , we are recreating this table. This table contains all the main feeders only.

Cross over feeders are removed from this table.

How the crosses over feeders are identified?

The feeder is treated as main feeder based on following conditions :-

o It is defined as output feeder

o Feeder status is N

o The source Billing Unit is same as Billing Unit.

So for a crossover feeder there should be different Source Bu and BU.

Page 22: Feeder DTC Website_version1101

FAQ for Feeder DTC Website , Consumer Mapping , Hourly Data Page 22

The Key in ho_feeder_master_ss table is circle,ss_no,fed_no. The feeder is uniquely

identified as ss_no||fed_no within a circle.

How Hourly Percent report is generated?

o The ho_feeder_master is downloaded at HO every week. From this table the

Ho_feeder_master_ss is generated using procedure ss_insert_proc.

o From the Ho_feeder_master_ss , table the Data Expected field is generated

Using the formula as below

data_expected =no of days in the month * no of feeders in Ho_feeder_master_table

o Now for data received figure, the key values i.e. bu,ss_no,fed_no,rdate are compared with the

actual data received. For every matching value counter is increased by one. So please make

sure that the key values i.e. bu, ss_no ,fed_no ,rdate should be available in received data and

they are exactly same in ho_feeder_master table.

o In some cases the percent received data is more than 100%. :- This happens because for the

same feeder (i.e. substation number and Feeder Number) data is received by different billing

units ( mostly in cross over cases) . Since feeder is one, we consider it as unique feeder for

Load computation. But data entry work is done by both subdivisions so we consider data sent

by both of them and hence the data received value goes beyond 100%.

o Why unique feeder is in a circle considered in hourly data?

This is for computing exact load on the feeder. If we consider the load on crossover

also, then the load will be double which is undesirable.

Feeder DTC Consumer Mapping

o The consumer-DTC mapping is available in Bill_info table as every consumer is having DTC

Code available in Bill_info table.

o The Feeder DTC mapping is also available at Website. So whenever new DTC is installed,

just add the same to the feeder in the Feeder DTC website.

o Download the weekly Feeder master Dump and import the same into the CMS user.

o Execute the extDTCDetails procedure to update the newly added DTC s in the DTC master

table in CMS.

o In CMS system, System maintenance menu there is option for checking the Feeder DTC

consumer mapping. Please check the current mapping from the screen. There is option for

regenerating mapping data also.

o Whenever there are changes in the Feeder / DTC Master (new Feeders/ DTCs added in the

database / removed from database) , the mapping data should be modified. Procedure

Page 23: Feeder DTC Website_version1101

FAQ for Feeder DTC Website , Consumer Mapping , Hourly Data Page 23

LOAD_MAPPINGS_PROC is used for generating the mapping data. Use the option for recreate

mapping data from the Mapping form.

o Send the mapping_all_bu dump to HO in case of data changes as described above. In case of

large changes please send the complete circle’s data to HO by combining the mapping_all_bu

tables into Mapping_all_ho table.
