Feedback for the implementation of EADIn in the national/ organizational structures of the partner organizations The EADIn project will be implemented within the structures of the partner organizations. In order to have a structured record of the national/ organizational implementations and your experiences, please fill in this form for every intervention you organize. FACTS Name of Partner Organization: Slovenian anti‐doping organization (SLOADO) Date: 15.09.2011 Length of intervention: 1 hour Location: Bled, hotel Jelovica Number of participants: 32 Target group/ addressees: athletes who will compete at the Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, 2012 Trainers/ staff/ Anti‐Doping Junior Ambassadors that were involved: Jani Dvoršak, Nina Makuc, Danej Navrboc, Maruša Končar, Veronika Dvoršak, Tjaša Hojnik, Matej Drinovec, Jan Družina REPORT ABOUT THE IMPLEMENTATION What was the aim? Our main goal was to inform young people about the problem of doping in professional sport. What content was conveyed? We presented the case of Andreas‐Heidi Krieger and doping in winter sports, followed by general information on doping (the presentation of WADA, SLOADO, “What is doping?”, TUE, athletes...). In the second part, we used the concept of workshops, with which we wanted to make young athletes and coaches openly discuss about the use of drugs in sport. We divided people into 5 groups and distributed paper sheets with different tasks all of them concerning on the topic of doping. Each group had 7 minutes to talk about the task and to give clear answers and explanations. After the discussion each group presented their conclusions to

Whatwastheaim?

What were the impressions of the staff/ trainers/ ADJA?(for eg: how did the addresseesreact to the given information, was it easy to convey the information, were therediscussions…):

Inouropinionthelecturewasveryinteresting.Ithasbeennoticedthatathletesandcoachesdonothavealotofknowledgeabouttheproblemofdoping,butwecouldseethattheyhaveshowninterestandcooperationtofindoutnewthings.Inparticular,theinterestandsurpriseofallpresentwasshown.Duringtheworkshopseverybodywastalkingandexchangingtheirviews.Alsocoachesthatparticipatedweresetintheroleofathletes.

Whatweretheresults?

Webelievethatallparticipantswillthinkabutdangersofdopinginthefutureandconsidertheconsequencesinadifferentwaythantheydidbeforeourlecture.

Didyoureachthedesiredoutcome?How?Why?

Wethinkthattheresponsesoftheparticipantsweregood,becausetheyhavelearnedalotnewthings.Wecansaythatourgoalwasmorethansuccessfullyachieved.

Wedidn‘thaveanyproblems.

Whatwouldyoudodifferentlynexttime?

Next time we can add more workshops, so that we can cover more different cases andscenarios in doping.
