Feedback for the implementation of EADIn in the national/ organizational structures of the partner organizations The EADIn project will be implemented within the structures of the partner organizations. FACTS Name of Partner Organization: Slovenian anti‐doping organization (SLOADO) Date: 19.07.2011 Length of intervention: 1 hour Location: Ljubljana, hotel Merkator Number of participants: 42 Target group/ addressees: athletes who will compete at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Trambzon, 2011 Trainers/ staff/ Anti‐Doping Junior Ambassadors that were involved: Jani Dvoršak, Nina Makuc, Karmen Gec, Danej Navrboc,, Veronika Dvoršak, Tjaša Hojnik, Matej Drinovec, Luka Pirec, Sebastian Bauman, Tadej Jug, Tjaša Logar REPORT ABOUT THE IMPLEMENTATION What was the aim? Our main goal was to inform young people about the problem of doping in professional sport. What content was conveyed? We presented the case of Andreas‐Heidi Krieger and other doping cases (Pantani, Agassi, Raducan ...) in summer sports, followed by general information on doping (the presentation of WADA, SLOADO, “What is doping?”, TUE, athletes...). We also made a presentation of doping control process and we intriduce athletes to all steps of doping control. We showed them an equpment for collecting the samples and explained how it is used. In the second part, we used the concept of workshops, with which we wanted to make young athletes and coaches openly discuss about the use of drugs in sport. We divided people into 6 groups and

Whatwastheaim?

Our main goal was to inform young people about the problem of doping in professionalsport.

After the discussion each group presented their conclusions toeverybody.Ambassadorsweretheretoguide,supportandmaybehelptopointthemintheright direction to get the general viewon the given issue.After each presentationwehadtimetoanswerthequestionsthatmighthavepoppedup.

What were the impressions of the staff/ trainers/ ADJA?(for eg: how did the addresseesreact to the given information, was it easy to convey the information, were therediscussions…):

Inouropinionthelecturewasveryinteresting.Ithasbeennoticedthatathletesandcoachesdonothavealotofknowledgeabouttheproblemofdoping(exceptfromtheathletesandcoachesofcycling),butwecouldseethattheyhaveshowninterestandcooperationtofindoutnewthings.Inparticular,theinterestandsurpriseofallpresentwasshown.Duringtheworkshopseverybodywastalkingandexchangingtheirviews.Alsocoachesthatparticipatedweresetintheroleofathletes.

Whatweretheresults?

Webelievethatallparticipantswillthinkabutdangersofdopinginthefutureandconsidertheconsequencesinadifferentwaythantheydidbeforeourlecture.

Didyoureachthedesiredoutcome?How?Why?

Wethinkthattheresponsesoftheparticipantsweregood,becausetheyhavelearnedalotnewthings.Wecansaythatourgoalwasmorethansuccessfullyachieved.
