Kahoot- Kahoot will be your students’ favorite feedback tool. Its “game show” quality makes it great for reviewing content.Specifics: Free, Mobile Device or Computer, M/C

Quizizz-Quizizz is similar to Kahoot, providing a “game show” format to engage students. Quizizz allows for self-paced assessment, while still providing automatic feedback to students and teachers. Specifics: Free, Mobile Device or Computer, M/C

Microsoft Mix- This is a tool for teachers to create videos of their PowerPoint presentations. You will be able to annotate, record audio, or include a webcam video of yourself as you present your slides. In between slides, you can include various types of questions for your students to answer. Specifics: Free, MC/TF, Short Response, Poll Questions

Nearpod- Nearpod is a presentation and feedback tool all in one site. There are ready-made Nearpod presentations that you can access (or buy), and you can also create your own. One great feature is the Draw It activity, in which teachers can either send a blank page for students to draw their answer or a picture for students to color or label. This works great for solving math problems, labeling scientific diagrams, highlighting text, or filling out maps. OneNote: OneNote is a great tool for providing feedback to your students. Students can share their work with you and you will be able to create written, audio, or video comments. OneNote would be great to use for student journals, cooperative projects, and data notebook. Specifics- Free, Long ResponseSince this tool is new to our district, at this time only the pilot school teachers will be able

to share OneNote notebooks with their students. We are hopeful that this will be

available to more schools next year.

Padlet- Padlet is a feedback tool that is designed for student collaboration. Students can leave comments, or upload pictures, videos, podcasts, or other files. Padlet is basically a virtual bulletin board. Specifics: Free and Paid Versions, Mobile Device or Computer, Short Response Comments

Plickers- Plickers is a great tool for teachers who only have one mobile device, because the students respond using “QR Code-Like” Cards. Teachers can create questions ahead of time and on the fly. At this time the reporting options aren’t too great, and the questions types are only multiple choice and true/false. Here is a link to our blog post with more information about Plickers. PollEverywhere- This tool is unique because you can embed the polls into a PowerPoint presentation. Specifics: MC, Poll, Short Response, Word Cloud

Screencastomatic- This is an unconventional feedback tool. After students turn in assignments, the teacher can create a screencast while grading an assignment. This provides students with specific feedback, and might save time for teachers as well.Specifics: Teacher can provide feedback to students.

Socrative- Socrative is a feedback tool that allows teachers to create multiple choice, true/false, and short answer questions. It also allows the teacher to show short responses (anonymously) to the class so they can vote on the best answer. This is a great discussion starter. Socrative also has a Space Race option, which sorts students into teams for a timed game. Specifics: Free, Mobile Device or Computer, MC, T/F, and Short Response Questions.
