Federal Recovery Coordination Program
• Joint program of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense
• Provides comprehensive coordination of care for severely injured, ill or wounded Service Member or Veteran through their recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration.
• Provides support for family members and/or caregivers.

• President’s Commission on Care for America’s Returning Wounded Warriors (Dole Shalala Report) July 2007
• Recommendation: a comprehensive patient center recovery plan for every seriously wounded Service member and Veteran

Eligibility
• DoD/VA Senior Oversight Committee (SOC) established Criteria– Open to OEF/OIF Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve service
member or Veteran, regardless of combat– Hospitalized in military treatment facility;
Diagnosed or referred with one or more:– Spinal Cord Injury– Burns– Amputation– Traumatic Brain Injury– Visual Impairment– Post traumatic Stress Disorder– At risk for psychological complications
