SENIOR CONTRACTS
Senior contracts will be distributed on
February 29th. Students will not be
allowed to participate in the gradua-
tion ceremony without a signed con-
tract. The contract will also specify
how your name will be printed on
your diploma. This is important be-
cause your name should match the
name on your identification. Also, you
will be asked to speci-
fy if you have pur-
chased your cap and
gown. Contracts are
due at the SR House-
keeping assembly on
March 10.

GRAD SPEECH AND SONG TRYOUTS
Speaking at your graduation is a great honor. The graduation ceremony includes several
speakers and a student(s) performance of the class song. Valedictorians and salutatorians will be
formally invited to tryout for a speech. Other speeches include: the welcome speech for English,
Spanish and Punjabi. The senior class will also be looking for that special talent to sing at gradu-
ation. Interested? Students may sign up in the activities office, senior English, and Government
classes beginning April 4th-April 15th. Welcome Speech tryouts will be held May 3rd at 9:45
am in front of the graduation committee. The song tryouts will be held April 26th at 3:15 pm
in room 702. For more information, see Mr. Haas or Mrs. Simmons.
GRAD NIGHT
Grad Night is a safe and sober celebration for all graduating Sen-
iors. It is held after graduation, in the multipurpose room. It’s a
fun night of free food, music, indoor games, hypnotist, thousands
of dollars in prizes, photo booth, air brush tattoos, hair styling,
massages, raffles, outdoor games, etc. The event wraps up about
3:30 Saturday morning. This is your chance for that one last cele-
bration with your Senior friends before everyone leaves RVHS.
If you haven’t already purchased your ticket, stop by the office
and drop off your $100 to Mrs. Aguilar. The price will be going
up soon, so don’t wait! Last year we had 180 Seniors in attend-
ance and everyone had a great time. Once you arrive at Grad
Night, everything is free. Don’t miss it! If you have questions, e-
mail Amy Montoya at [email protected].
LOST BOOKS, UNI-
FORMS… ARE YOU
CLEAR?
Don’t be left scrambling at the last mi-
nute! Please remember to check the
unclear list posted on the library win-
dows. If your name is on the list, see
the librarians to find out what you
owe. You will not be allowed to partic-
ipate in graduation if you are on the
list.
