Angela FakeHometown: Omaha, Nebraska, (but I was born in Austin, Texas, and have been living in Nebraska since I was 3 years old).Major: AnthropologyA Few of Her Favorite Things: I love reading, writing, watching movies, especially Miyazaki films, and listening to my favorite composers; Joe Hisaishi, James Horner, Bear McCreary, and many others... An Interesting Fact About Angela: I was born premature, and weighed only 2 pounds and 8 ounces. Her favorite thing about attending college at UNL: I love the freedom of being out of my parents' house, being more responsible, and having a more flexible schedule.

Do you have any advice you would like to share with fellow WHT scholars? Stand by your own opinions and beliefs, even if many others don't agree with you or try to convince you otherwise. Remain confident in your own abilities, and don't give up even when life puts you down.

"How YOU prepare in the present will predict how YOU perform in the future"

“Many college students who live on campus have unlimited access to food in the cafeteria, dorm, or Greek house. If you are frequently eating unlimited quantities of food (particularly junk food), this will likely increase your weight quite quickly. The “Freshmen 15,” despite the notion that it is due to alcohol use, is more often due to unhealthy eating habits. As we begin a month dedicated to wellness and getting fit, think about portion sizes when you go through the cafeteria line. Try to drink 4 large glasses of water a day. Drinking water has many benefits including boosting concentration and help keep you from overeating.”
