PRELUDE: When Morning Gilds the Skies Joseph Barnby

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

VERSE OF PREPARATION (from front of bulletin)

CHORAL INTROIT: The Lord is in His Holy Temple George Root

CALL TO WORSHIP: Elder Judy Kirkpatrick

Come, people of God, to know again who you are, return to the one who gives you life.

We come as children of God, longing for a closer walk with our Creator. Come all who are thirsty for living water. Open yourselves to the one who supplies it.

We have assembled to hear for ourselves the Good News Christ brings to all people. God meets and accepts us where we are, helping us to know ourselves as God knows us.

We come with the conviction that ‘God in Christ’ is our hope and salvation.

*SONG OF PRAISE: My Faith Looks Up to Thee No. 419

*PRAYER OF INVOCATION

CALL TO CONFESSION

PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Unison)

Almighty God, you love us, but we do not love you fully.

You call, but we do not always listen.

We often walk away from neighbors in need, wrapped in our own concerns.

We often condone that which is evil and ignore that which is good.

God of Grace, help us to admit our sin, so that we may turn

to you and receive forgiveness; through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen. (a moment for silent confession)

ASSURANCE OF GOD’S LOVE

*RESPONDING WITH PRAISE: Change My Heart, O God No. 373

Change my heart, O God, -- make it ever true.

Change my heart, O God -- may I be like you.

You are the Potter, -- I am the clay.

Mold me and make me, -- this is what I pray.

Change my heart, O God, -- make it ever true.

Change my heart, O God -- may I be like you.
