Monte Vista’s Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group of women/men who knit or crochet Prayer Shawls and Prayer Afghans for a person in need with the intent to shelter, comfort and give solace to the recipient. .

The group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. If you cannot attend the meetings, but would like to get involved, we have yarn and instructions for you to use. • Pray that the people of Monte Vista come to know the love of Christ in a deeper way.

• Thanksgiving and prayer for our neighbors at First Christian.

• Pray for Alanna Jacob’s son-in-law Bryan and his family. Bryan’s sister Tanya is having difficulty with chemo and his parents are having some problems.

• Pray for Helen Monroe and Neal. Helen is in the hospital.

• Pray for Tyler Patterson, 13 year old grandson of Larry & Ruth Toops. The doc-tors have not been able to determine the cause of constant and severe headaches.

• Prayers for Don & Susan Schwaiger and the whole family. Don’s father Dave passed away. The memorial service was yesterday. Peace and comfort to all.

• Prayers for Gerry and Barbra Winter and family. Gerry’s father passed away.

• Pray for Michael Washburn as he recovers from a bacterial infection.

• Pray for Ann Riley’s daughter Kathy. Pray for a good surgery to remove the can-cer. Pray for Ann to be strong in supporting Kathy.

• Pray for Angela Madgwick.

• Pray for Mel & Pat Roop’s friends, Moke & Mazie Goeders. Pray for God’s com-fort and healing of body and spirit. Moke is recovering very well from his broken hip, fractured elbow and broken rib from the fall he had. They thank us for the prayers of concern.

• Pray for Alanna Jacob’s mother-in-law, Helen, and her respiratory issues.

• Pray for our former Monte Vista deacon, Paula Haydter, that the sepsis will be successfully treated and that she will be completely healed.

• Pray for Terry Avezzie for healing of her eyes.

• Pray for Ken Au, Cal Au’s father. Pray for continued healing.

• Pray for Sally Losey for healing in her legs and feet and less pain.
