TWILIGHT SPORTS
THURSDAY March 3
SCHOOL COMMENCES AT 2:30pm
(no bus)
Sports conclude at 7:30pm
The school sports are just a week away. Last year we re-introduced the twilight carnival
and it was very warmly received. By commencing school at 2.30 we enjoy the cooler
part of the day and saw many parents come along later in the evening. The carnival
finishes at 7.30 with our presentation of the cup. We are hoping that there will be
some willing helpers come along at 2.00 to assist in putting up the shade ports. The
packing up will commence at 7.15 p.m. while score etc. are tallied. The format for the
day has been sent home and is also available at the office if needed.
A big thankyou to all those families who have registered for the Mc Cains fundraiser,
we have nearly filled every spot more information regarding time slots are in the news-
letters. I need to thank the organisers who have chased around to fill in the names, We
are aware of the time commitment and all funds we raise throughout the year will go
directly to play area development for the students. We are still chasing donations of
Easter Eggs for the raffle ,which will be drawn on the last day of the term.
On Monday we are all wearing red as part of raising awareness and money for heart
research. Our Junior School Council is hosting the event and we hope children wearing
red will bring along a gold coin donation that we will send to the Cancer Research
Foundation. Any red T-shirt or garment will do! Our junior school council have lots of
events planned throughout the year and
their commitment to social service is
commendable.
If at any times you have difficulty loading
Tiqbiz, our school App, please come to the
office for assistance, Lisa can walk you
through the upload. We have many fami-
lies who are using the Absence feature of
the App to send us a student absence. This
is extremely efficient as it does free up the
morning phone calls.

Twilight Sports
Help Wanted We are holding our school
athletics carnival on the 3rd of March between 2.30pm and 7.30pm. We are looking for
volunteers to help us out on the day. Please note that you do not need experience in athletics and you do not need to be available
the whole time.
We rely on our volunteers to ensure we can provide the best setting and experience for our
students.
If you can spare any time on the day please contact Jess Vince at the school or leave your name
with Lisa at the office.

If anyone would like a family photograph,
please come to the office and collect a
family envelope.
Reminder:
All students must have their own
separate photo envelope with them at
the time that their photo is being
taken.
All students must be in full school
uniform.
Wear anything red! This event will take place on the 29th of February.
Please bring a gold coin donation on the day. All funds raised will go towards much needed research and facilities in support of heart disease. JSC representatives will go around to each classroom on the morning of the 29th to collect all donations.

That means less than ½ an hour a week for six weeks, to assist us in one of our major fundraising this year.

This money is going toward putting a NEW FORT in the playground.

run-a-thon to raise critical funds for the 2015/16 season on

These funds will contribute towards the purchase of new equipment and the furnishing of our new clubrooms. Your
support will be greatly appreciated.
The run-a-thon will commence at 5pm sharp and
conclude 1 hour later (6pm)
At the conclusion there will be a BBQ and refreshments.
We Hope that everyone has attracted sponsorship. If
every runner attracts around $20 or more on
average - We will go close to achieving our fundraising
goals

Each age group will run/walk continuously for as many laps of the Haddon oval
as they can over a one hour time limit. Sponsors can sponsor from $1 per lap
or a designated donation for the activity.
