We are very lucky at Stamford Green to have such an active PTA
with parents/carers always so energetically supported by teachers
and staff. We are also very fortunate to have such great support
from local businesses, whose generosity helps us to achieve our
goals.
A big thank you to all the parent volunteers, teachers and staff who
helped make our Fireworks, Christmas Cards, Christmas Disco and
the Christmas Market events last term so successful. We hope
everyone was able to participate in some of these activities and
enjoyed themselves.
There’s been lots more fun this term with Cushion Clubs and
popcorn galore and we have our brilliant annual Quiz Night on
22nd March; watch out for communications on this shortly.
As our school grows, it’s important we continue to be ambitious
with the events and activities we run, to support the school’s
exciting fundraising targets, and it’s equally important to have lots
of fun in doing so.
You will have seen the recent school communications regarding
the exciting developments for our new library and the current
‘Curiosity Corridor’ phase. This is only possible with the amazing
volunteer and teacher / staff support we receive at Stamford Green.
Here are some of the activities and tasks the PTA will undertake
this year - writing questions/challenges for our annual Quiz Night,
volunteering on the bar (at almost every event!) and/or BBQ,
running a stall/game at the Summer Fun Day, buying sparklers and
donuts for Fireworks Night...
How will you help to make great things happen for your child(ren)

Before
After
A huge thank you to Rob Berry at
rbjoinery for transforming our PTA
Shed with new storage units. Rob
kindly volunteered to build the units
to help us make the most of our
space and volunteer time before
and after the events. Your time and
creativity is hugely appreciated.
After Before
Project Atlantis - The mission continues!
Our big fundraising target is a new library to occupy the old KS2 cloakroom in the school, delivering an exciting
and inspiring space for children.
The vision for the library is a calm and creative area for learning, incorporating the water theme prevalent in
Epsom’s history and dominant in the Stamford Green emblem. We believe it will support all children in developing
a love of reading, fulfilling their individual potential during their time at Stamford Green. It will also be accessible
to our wider local community through our regular ‘Come and Play’ children’s play sessions.
In 2017 we finished Phase 1, which completed the structural re-configuration and decoration of the entrance
to the library, new toilets, a new group room and two new storage areas.
At the moment the Curiosity Corridor is taking shape which will transform the walkway to the new library.
The final phase is targeted for Easter 2019 and will see the main part of the new library under construction.
Marvellous Market
Thank you to Miss Bidwell, Hannah Coxon, Shelley Illingworth, Leigh Ann Herman, Rosie Campbell, Simon
Day and Jules Claridge for leading the organisation of our Christmas Market. We raised a fantastic £6,600.
Thank you to all the teachers/staff, parent volunteers and local businesses for their support at the event.

Thank you to Georgina Preston, Shelley Illingworth, teachers and staff and
parent volunteers for the excellent annual Christmas Disco.
We hope the children enjoyed themselves.
Fabulous Fireworks
Thank you to Ciara Duffy and Sally Morgan for organising our

Personal Agent Boards Thank you to everyone who agreed to host a Personal Agent
board advertising our Christmas Market event. It’s great
to publicise our event locally and The Personal Agent
continue to be a fantastic and generous supporter.
Last term we raised
a fantastic £14k, which
has supported Curiosity
Corridor and will help
us reach our goal for
the new library.
