Complemented by more than 1,300 survey participants and 400+ community members who attended workshops, a Think Tank of community stakeholders contributed to the development of seven Strategic Pillars that will guide the plan. ---With the guidance of a local, volunteer Executive Commit- tee, the visioning phase was a wide-scale effort that offered more than 30 opportunities to participate at varied locations across Coppell. Workshops were hosted at various times on all seven weekdays with opportuni- ties such as virtual participation and language translation to encourage inclusion. The new year brings a brand-new way to reserve a meeting or study room at the Cozby Library and Community Commons. Patrons will now be able to reserve one of the library’s available spaces through an online portal, replacing the old paper form system.

---One of the main benefits of the new portal is that patrons will be able to view availability of library spaces in real-time before placing a reservation request. The efficient, automated system will also free up library staff, allowing them to spend more one-on-one time helping patrons.

The City of Coppell will be teaming up with Carter Bloodcare to host the Spring Blood Drive on Tuesday, March 19! The event is open to ALL employees and citizens. Please stop by the Fire Station 3 Training Room, 133 Parkway Blvd., between 7:30 am - 1 pm on March 19 and join your neighbors and City employees in helping those in need.

Roger Sanderson, Director of Horticulture for Texas Discovery Gardens, will return to discuss snakes and reptiles of North Texas. This is a very interesting presentation with “hands-on” opportunities with these critters. Roger is one of Texas’ highly ac-claimed instructors on this subject. Don’t miss this interesting lecture. Admission is free.
