Close to home & far from ordinary! The Kansas City Folk Festival (KCFF) is a one-day, family-friendly, public folk music festival. Featuring six stages of the finest in local, national and international talent, KCFF takes a grassroots community culture approach to programming that includes community booths, a local Artisan Market, and family-focused programs. The third annual event takes place on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at the Westin Crown Center Hotel from 10am-5pm.

Festival sponsors reach a unique Kansas City metro audience through an event produced by an acclaimed and well established 501c3, Folk Alliance International (FAI). The festival is a growing event and brand, has a stable track record of success, has strong partnerships in place, and was sold out in 2017. The festival will expand in Spring 2019 to a multi-day, outdoor event.

KCFF is the primary Kansas City public outreach initiative for FAI and is the exclusive focus of all of Midwest regional advertising. Promotions include billboards, digital advertising, thousands of handbills and posters distributed within a 100-mile radius, social media campaigns, and print and radio advertising (KKFI, KCUR, KPR, KCPT, Ink, Pitch, The Star, KC Studio).
