Timing belt kit fits Vauxhall Corsa B, Tigra A, Astra F 1.4 16V and 1.6 16V, also Vectra B 1.6 16V and 1.8 16.V except x 1.8 XE (ref. no. 1606 274) >> PROBLEM: The timing belt can break. >> CAUSE: The design of the belt pulley has been changed by the vehicle manufacturer. The slightly raised section of the old belt pulley (refer to picture 1) can cause a faster deteriation of the timing belt edge. This causes the timing belt to move and be prematurely torn, leading to serious engine damage. >> SOLUTION: febi bilstein recommends: before fitting the timing belt kit febi 14110, check for a raised part of the belt pulley and, if necessary, replace with the new version (refer to picture 2) (Vauxhall plan 5614 430). The new belt pulley will fit correctly to the timing belt, thereby guaranteeing a longer life span. Please note: when you replace the belt pulley, the crankshaft gear (refer to picture 3) (Vauxhall 0614 546) and the stretch bolt (refer to picture 4) (0614 932 Torx) should also be replaced.
