    Dear Family,

In the past sixteen years, we have accomplished some amazing

things here at our parish and school. When I arrived to become

Pastor, the buildings were in great need of repair, the school had

no gym, and we lacked a Parish Center for parish community

gatherings. Our campus is now i n great shapewe built a wonderful Parish

Center and Gymnasium, completely renovated the sc hool, and added a beautiful

    Narthex to our Church.

I am also so proud of the restoration of our church and all of the parishioners

and non-parishioners who helped support our Giving Glory to Godproject.

We still have the choir area and vestibule (downstairs area) of the church to

restore. Plans to complete this phase will begin when funds are available.

This week, I am so pleased to announce another great accomplishmentwe

are debt free! Alleluia! Alleluia! In 2008, we were in debt to the Dioceseof Joliet for $250,000. Congratulations to all of you who so faithfully support

our parish and school. You are loved! To commemorate this achievement, wewill be hosting a Debt-Free Celebration in the Spring. More details to follow

    in the near future.

    In the Lords Love,

    Fr. Jim Curtin

Jesus teaches us that we must not adhere to

ideas of isolation. Stewardship engages us in

the world. To be followers of Jesus, we must

reach beyond our own circle of family or

friends to serve the needs of all others with

loving kindness. Paul says it well; faith and

hope are necessary, but the greatest gift is

    love.

    Incorporated into Christ by Baptism,

the person baptized is configured to

Christ. Baptism seals the Christian with

    the indelible spiritual mark (character)

of his belonging to Christ. No sin can

erase this mark, even if sin preventsBaptism from bearing the fruits of

    salvation. (CCC, n. 1272)

    Please pray for those who

    are sick or suffering especially

    THE LORD SUSTAINS HIS PEOPLE

The 2013 Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal

This year, the theme of the Appeal is The Lord Sustains His

People. The Lord sustains each of us in many ways. His life,

death and resurrection were all gifts to each of us. He gives us

all that we have. He gave us our Church. That Church, through

our parish, our diocese, and throughout the world offers us not

only spiritual but many other forms of sustenance.God neverforgets us. Even when we believe that our successes are self

made, it is His love that sustains each of us.He is always giving

to us. His grace is always there for us. One way that we can

show our gratitude is by offering our generous financial support

to our parish and to our diocese and to the Church throughoutthe world. The gifts we give enable ministries, education, and

services that touch thousands of lives.

This year our parish goal is $67, 516.

With your support, we can reach and exceed this

    goal.

Please answer Bishop Conlons request and make a

generous pledge. All pledges can be paid in 10 monthly
