    Our own Dot Loewenstein

    observed the following: For

    example, there was a white

    ared-leg pantsuit, a purple,

and a fuchsia outt, as well as

    silver sparkles, but the royal

    blue with bling galore took

the cake in my opinion. And

that was just the men! (Joke.)

Several tuxes were seen, and a

few red bow ties were notice-able, along with one gent in a

    pink jacket with white slacks.

    Another showed off a white

jacket with a red shirt and

white tie. Added to this was

the New Years Eve black hat,

and he could have vied for a

    job with the Sopranos.

PRINCIPLES OVER POLITICSMY NAME IS PHYLLIS RICHLAND. FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE

NEVER MET ME, I WAS A VICE PRESIDENT OF UCO FOR FOUR YEARS.

PRIOR TO THAT, I WAS A MEMBER OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD

AND I WAS ON MANY COMMITTEES. I WAS ONE OF THE FOUNDING

MEMBERS OF OUR CERT GROUP AND I ALSO CHAIRED THE LIFT

COMMITTEE. I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN UCO AND CENTURY VIL-

LAGE FOR OVER TEN YEARS. THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF

THE ELDERLY HERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY MAIN GOAL. I HAVE

ORGANIZED HEALTH FAIRS AND HELPED FAMILY MEMBERS CON-

NECT WITH ORGANIZATIONS THAT MADE IT EASIER FOR THEIR EL-

    DERLY.

TWO YEARS AGO, I TOOK A SABBATICAL FOR PERSONAL REASONS,

AND NOW I WANT TO REJOIN UCO AS VICE PRESIDENT AND SERVE

    THE VILLAGE ONCE MORE.

I CAN ASSURE YOU STEADY LEADERSHIP IN TIMES OF CHANGE. I

AM A TESTED LEADER AND MY INTEGRITY COUNTS.

    IF I WIN, YOU WIN!!!

I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR CONSIDERATION. THANK YOU.

Urgent: CenturyVillage CondoOwners Need toSupport SB 780!ForeclosureProceedings/Paymentof Fees

Dear Century VillageOwners,We need to make sure

that Senate Bill 780, filedby Senator Evelyn Lynn, will pass through theLegislature and will besigned by the Governor! This bill, in short, de-mands that banks andmortgage companies areliable for Associationfees owed by units from

the day of the filing forforeclosure. The bill pro-vides for retroactive ap-plication.

    See full text here:http://www.ccfj.net/PB10SB780.html

We heard in the lastfew months many com-plaints from owners and

board members demand-ing reforms because themany foreclosed units are

causing serious budgetdeficits and increases ofAssociation fees, hurtingall owners. Write Senator Lynn athank-you note for fil-ing SB 780. Make sureyou say how much this

bill is needed to protectthe financial sanity ofour Community Asso-ciations.

Here is Senator Lynnsemail address: [email protected]

And write Senate Presi-dent Jeff Atwater thatthis bill is desperatelyneeded and that it is timeto stop protecting banksat the expense of owners.Banks got bail-out mon-ey; our Associations didnot! Tell Senator Atwaterthat he has to stop killing

bills that will help ourAssociations. He wantsto be Floridas next ChiefFinancial Officer. Let himknow how strongly youfeel about this issue!

His email address:atwater. [email protected] We must act now be-fore the 2010 Legislativesession begins!
