KUMEROA-HOPELANDS SCHOOL 17 FEBRUARY 2016 TOWNSHIP ROAD, KUMEROA, R.D.1, WOODVILLE 4997 Week 3, Term 1, 2016. NEWSLETTER Tēnā koutou, We are well and truly back into the swing of things now! The pool is continuing to be well used and students are busy practising for swimming sports and our school triathlon. Thank you to everyone who has returned the slip from last week's newsletter indicating that they are able to help with the school triathlon on the 22nd of February. We could always use more helpers though! I am looking forward to touch rugby starting on Friday night and the country schools kiwi cricket competition starting next week. As always, I am sure that our students will represent the school with pride and will demonstrate our GROW values as well as fair play when competing. Thank you to everyone who attended the Welcome Back BBQ. I know it is a busy time of year for a lot of people and we really appreciate your support in attending this event. Last Friday saw Discovery Time and our AGRI projects get underway for 2016. A door for the greenhouse was constructed, the veggie garden was weeded, worm wee was collected and a BMX jump, among other things, was built. We are all really looking forward to Woodfest on the 6th of March where we will be selling some of the produce from our AGRI projects. If you haven't already, please mark it in your diary now. I'm sure it will be an awesome day! Have a fantastic week. Ngā mihi nui, Simon. Please note Next weeks newsletter will not be out until Thursday due to the swimming sports.
