Featuring: Seafood Marketing Challenges & Price Trends for 2014

January 14-16, 2014* Miami Beach, FloridaEden Roc Miami Beach Hotel

*NFI will hold Committee, Board and some Council Meetings beginning on January 12. See Schedule.

Preliminary

Agenda

The conference will provide the industry with information on the economic, social and demographic trends and changes that will affect international seafood markets. During the conference, seafood markets will be segregated into individual market levels based on the price points in which they compete. At NFI’s 2014 GSMC, participants will determine a view of the opportunities and pitfalls for supplying and purchasing the major species groups in the coming year.

The Seafood Product Groups:This year, we will discuss and analyze the following seafood product groups:

Who AttendsThe conference is attended by high-level seafood industry executives. In 2013, the conference grew by 33% and attendees were predominantly President, CEO, COO, EVP, SVP, and VP’s. Bring your team to the 2014 event to maximize the value of the information.

The Price LadderTM

In each seafood category, seafood products move up or down in price within a normal range. At the same time, seafood prices in one category move in relation to other categories. We refer to this movement as the Price Ladder™. The outlook for the seafood industry can be made visible by examining the expected positions and movements of seafood products within their historic price ranges, the drivers behind price changes and the relationship of products to each other within their category, across seafood categories and in relationship to other proteins.
