Samantha

Samantha wants to have a trip to New York with her boyfriend.

After the booking she wants to select the seats, however, she

couldn't find the e-ticket number, so she has to login to the

airline website to search for her e-ticket. She finds out it is inef-

ficient to use extra time to find out her e-ticket number on the

other website, she hopes there were a section showing her

e-ticket number some where on Hipmunk app. Moreover, on

her departure day, she almost forgets about her departure

time that everyone is staring at her because she is the last

person gets on the plane. Therefore, creating a trip function

that stores detail information for a trip that user can check

the detail schedule once after the booking. Moreover, the trip

function also reminds the user about upcoming events, de-

parture time, and check-in time for the user. The trip func-

tion would be located at the bottom of the tool bar, which user

can simply click on it to find out more information.

Pitch 1: Trip Feature

Trip function is able to show all the detail itinerary schedule for a user that includes flight time, check – in time, departure time, and most importantly, the flight ticket itself that is ready for scanning at the front counter at airport.

Jennifer

Jennifer likes to travel around the world and explore a new place

to stay. She likes to join outdoor activities and loves to make

friends. When she travels, she likes to stay in the crowded city

where it is full of bars, entertainment and shopping malls. She

is going to visit the beautiful Vancouver city next month and look-

ing for hotels nearby the popular locations that can provide her

conveniences. Hipmunk does provide service to arrange all hotels

for Jennifer, yet, Hipmunk does not categorize the specific lo-

cations to find the best and accurate hotels and flights to fit her

preferences. Therefore, using the keyword search function

allows Jennifer to find the perfect spot that is close to her pref-

ered location. To find a hotel, choose a location first and type in

keyword such as “Vancouver Mall”, the feature will show all

mall’s results that’s in Downtown Vancouver city. After selecting a

specific location in the central city, any hotel that is around the

“Pacific Centre mall” will show in the result list and Jennifer

can easily look up for the detailed information of each hotel and

compare their prices.

The new feature of keyword search is to make users find the hotels under the specific categories that help them to find their preferred hotels with a more detailed information, which provides efficiency and accuracy to book the hotels and flights quickly.

Kimberly and her husband plan to save certain amount of

money for traveling each year. They found that Hipmunk will

always arrange a lot of affordable deal from all the website that

can help them to save a lot of money from choosing cheapest

flight and hotel. It is frustrating that the price of hotel and

flight is changing all the time. Sometimes they spend all day to

browse all the deals and the other day the price is different than

previous day that they saw. This situation makes them hard to

estimates the exact price to not over their budget. They hope

there has a section which shows their interested hotel and

fights which can also show the total to them which is easily to

calculate if they over their budget or not. Therefore, adding a

budget section is easier for user to save their interested hotel

and flight and to see if it is in their budget range, so they can

have or organized way to select the most suitable option for

themselves. They can set their budget at first then see how

much they have spent on hotel and flight, then to see what else

alternative they can do to keep under their budget.
