About the TEQIP
Technical Education Quality Improvement Pro-gramme (TEQIP) of Government of India aimsto improve the quality of Technical Education inEngineering Institutions across the country by
providing inputs like modernization of labora-tories/workshops, library, faculty development, research and improve interaction with Industriesto become dynamic, demand driven, qualityconscious, responsive to rapid economic andtechnological developments occurring both at
national and international levels.Course Objective
Solution of many of the engineering research problems are complex and hence require exten-sive computation. Heuristics are considered asthe best solution methodology for these prob-lems. The present course titled Soft ComputingTechniques in Research addresses various solu-tion methodologies to such complex problems.
The course is designed to get broad understand-ing about structure of various complex combina-torial problems, its area of application in variousdisciplines, various solution methodologies anddifferent computational tools used.
