The educational qualification requirement for Salaried and Self Employed Doctors would be MBBS/MD/MS.
Doctors employed full time in the private sector on salaried basis will be treated basis the category of the company they are employed with.
This segment will not include doctors who are both in consultancy/salaried as well as are having their own practice. For such profiles, the Self Employed policy (given later in the policy) would apply.
Salaried Doctors engaged in practice will be treated under self employed category if more than 50% of their total income is earned from practice. Otherwise they will be treated as salaried only. Income received from practice (Net annual income as per ITR) as well as salary will be clubbed for eligibility purposes
