Public sources and statements by the subject during August, 1964, corroborate the information that she participated in the Students Committee For Travel to Cuba (SCTC) trip to Cuba in June, 1964. v'Since her return to the United States on August 14, 1964, subject has made statements to the press that she ~ad nothing but praise for the Cuban Government of Fidel Castro;!and that she intends to work in the U!?-ite<L§..t~§..:t~e,s_forl ~:4!!=!J-.~r_c,1}-anr;~~ inAiii~rfcan socie'"'£y and

In a statement re-ported 'in-theifew-Yorl-t - -­Herald Tribune of August 23, 1964, the subject voiced her disapproval of the State Department travel ban by saying, "If /­Cuba is so terrible, why can't people see it for themselves?". ­In a similar statement to the New York Times, reported on August 19, 1961~, the subject voiced disapproval of United States foreign policies, particularly in Cuba and Vietnam. ,~-
