In a statement re-ported 'in-theifew-Yorl-t - -­Herald Tribune of August 23, 1964, the subject voiced her disapproval of the State Department travel ban by saying, "If /­Cuba is so terrible, why can't people see it for themselves?". ­In a similar statement to the New York Times, reported on August 19, 1961~, the subject voiced disapproval of United States foreign policies, particularly in Cuba and Vietnam. ,~-
