We have a shortage of FCS teachers!!!

• Currently• 826 active folders with an FCS endorsement• 576 have an assignment – not necessarily in FCS

• 53 vacancies – Spring 2015• 76 completed applications (1.4 applications / vacancy) – Teach Iowa

• 14 conditional licenses were issued*• 6 of 14 – Class B Conditional Licenses (2 year – issued once)• 3 of 14 – Class E Extension (1 year – issued once)• 5 of 14 – Administrative Decisions – BOEE

• Spring 2015 projected graduates: 14

• The Department of Education, Division of Community Colleges, is seeking talented professionals interested in public service - 6 positions

• Primary responsibilities• Providing CTE leadership and technical assistance to HS and CC• Working as part of a team to address current issues in CTE• Oversite of Federal Perkins Grant
