Eligibility
Entrance Test
• A three-year Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3) or equivalent
in any discipline from a recognized university with at
least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Candidates appearing in the final year of the
Bachelor's Degree can also apply provided they
furnish the proof of the minimum eligibility criteria by
September 2019. They should have appeared in all the
examinations of their graduation by the time of
commencement of the Programme.
The candidates need to appear for an Entrance Test to be
conducted by the Institute of Management, Nirma
University. The Test will be held at Ahmedabad, Delhi, &
Mumbai centres (Note: The Institute reserves the right to
drop or add any of the Test centres).
Entrance Test Structure: Duration of this Test will be 120
minutes, and consists of four Sections of 30 questions
each.

• Verbal Skills
• General Knowledge
Selection Criteria
Online Application
The final selection for admission to the Programme would
be based on the candidate's performance in the Entrance
Test, Communication Test and Personal Interview. The
following Weightage will be given to each component:
• Entrance Test: 60%
• Personal Interview: 20%
• Communication Test: 10% [Essay Test]
• Past Academic Performance based on the marks
of SSC, HSC and Graduation : 10%
An additional score of 5 points shall be given to the
candidates who belong to Business Families.
Applicants should fill-up Online Application Form and
submit the same along with a non-refundable admission
processing fee of Rs. 1,500/-. Candidates applying under
categories such NRI/NRI Sponsored/ Foreign
students/Person of Indian Origin / Gulf Countries and
South East Asia candidates should pay Rs. 6000 (plus
applicable charges) as Application Fee.

Nirma University, Ahemdabad, was established as a statutory University in the year 2003. The University is

Nirma University consists of the Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Pharmacy,
Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Department of Design, Faculty of
Research and Doctoral Studies and Faculty of Commerce. The graduate, post-graduate, and doctoral level
programmes offered by these faculties are highly rated by accreditation agencies, industry, business
magazines, and students.
Innovation, quality, and excellence are the key driving forces on the campus which have translated the
vision of the University institutions into reality. Today, the campus vibrates not only with world class
curricular activities but also with myriad activities like international conventions, symposia, conferences,
student competitions, conclaves, short-term industry relevant programmes, cultural activities etc.
The curriculum of the Programme is developed on the basis of in-depth interactions with family businessmen, entrepreneurs and
subject experts, and consists of Compulsory & Elective courses. The compulsory course package provides the students with the
business foundation.
The main pedagogical methods are lectures, case studies and project works. They are suplemented and complemented by role-
plays, simulations, syndicate discussions, etc. The actual mix varies with the nature of a course.
Pedagogy
Summer Project/Internship (FB&E)At the end of 3rd Term, all the students opting for Entrepreneurship Specialization will be required to do summer
project/internship for duration of 8-10 weeks with an industrial, business or service organization. The conditions of successfully
completion of the programme shall not be deemed to have been satisfied unless a student (specializing in Entrepreneurship)
does summer project/internship. Each of the students shall be required to submit a project report to the Institute for the work
undertaken by him/her during internship within two weeks of the commencement of the 4th Term. S/he also needs to submit a
copy of the report to the organization guide where the internship is undertaken. The report will be assessed by both the
Organization guide and internal advisor in terms of Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory. The summer internship is optional for the
students opting for Family Business specialization.
• Business Plan • Industrial Orientation (Field Course)
This Programme is targeted towards two distinct audiences:
(a) Young graduates with no prior experience in business but who exhibit entrepreneurial ambitions, and
(b) The next generation of Family Business owners.
The Programme is spread over two academic years. An academic year is divided into three Terms of about twelve weeks each.
The first three Terms consist of compulsory (foundation) courses, while the next three terms consist of mostly elective courses
offered in two streams of specialization:
(a) Entrepreneurship, and
(b) Family Business Management.
The students are also required to prepare a Business Plan in the 2nd Year of the Programme.
• Duration of the Programme : 2 Years
• Duration of a Term : 11-12 Weeks (approximately)
• One Credit Hour : 10 hours of classroom contact hours (10 Sessions of 60 minutes each)
• Session Duration : 60 minutes each
• Credits Requirements : 105 Credit
• No. of Terms : 6 Terms
• Total Contact Hours : 1050 (105*10)
• Summer Internship : 8-10 Weeks duration compulsory for Entrepreneurship specialization
