The SAR FOUNDATION was created in 1997 with the aim of providing social value to the group bypromoting initiatives of social protection, research and cooperation in the field of geriatrics and dependence. Led by María Dulce Fontanals, the foundation’s in-house activities focus on advanced training for theprofessionals within the group and on continually improving the quality of the services we offer. Externally, the foundation carries out many activities as trainers and technical consultants, such as the SAR Foundation Conference, which has been held every year since 1999. It also promotes and participates instudy and research together with the public administration, scientific societies, universities and otherFoundations and associations. The foundation has also published three books within the Albor collectionof Herder publications, books which have become classics within the field.

The Spanish company has been developing a residential tourist complex named Praia Canoé located at Fortim (State of Ceará, Brazil), municipality one hour and a half from the State’s capital, that is, Fortaleza.
