Obituary For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under
heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time
to pluck up what is planted. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Linda Joyce Reed Graham was born to the late Cora Lee Brockington
and Roosevelt Graves on June 11, 1953, in Coffee County, Georgia.
She was adopted by Mr. George and Florine Reed at an early age and
was loved dearly by the two of them.
Linda Joyce was educated in Coffee County Public School System and
was the class of 1970. Linda Joyce met and married Mr. Walter
Graham formerly of Pompano Beach Florida and to this union a child
was born.
Linda Joyce was a strong woman of faith and was brought up in the
way of the Lord at Freewill Baptist Church in Douglas, Georgia.
Cooking, traveling, dancing, sewing and talking on the phone was a
significant part of her lifestyle.
The Lord called her home on August 3, 2019. She was preceded in
death by her parents: Florine and George Reed; biological mother:
Cora Lee Brockington; biological father: Roosevelt Graves;
grandparents: Dollie Brockington, Viola Graves, and Richard Graves,
surrogate brother John (Jeannette) Brockington, surrogate Sister (Mary
Magdalene Brock Simmons); one sister: Shelia Williams; mother in
law: Mrs.Eddie Mae McNeir; father in law: Charlie Walter Graham;
brother in law: Herbert Scippio.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her devoted husband: Walter
Graham; two children: Suton (Annette) Harris and Asia (Jerry)
Wesley; ten grandchildren: Jyvez Graham, Jakia Graham, Jada
Graham, Armoni Barnes, Danysia Harris, Kingston Mincey, Cali
Lomax , Darianna Lomax, Darian Goolsby, and Deonte Goolsby;
stepmother: Mary Graves; father-in-law: Lamar McNeir; ten
siblings: Gladys (Sollie) Simpson, Tonya ( Jelclancy) Mizell, Rick
(Stephanie) Graves, Darrell(Cathalene) Graves, Hiwatha Graves,
Sharon(Gregory) Stafford, Carmen Walker , Pauline Davis, Richard
(Shirley) Davis, Karen Moody; a special sister-in-law: Loretta
Graham. A host of aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins,
and sorrowing friends.
