What is an SMS?
• It’s a management decision making tool• Identifies significant hazards to the Operation• Assesses the risks associated with those hazards• Puts in place mitigations / barriers to minimise the
risk• Checks that the mitigations are working as
expected• It’s not a document…its what you do!
