THE PEOPLE OF HOLY ROSARY CATHOLIC CHURCH PRO-CLAIM THAT OUR MISSION IS TO BECOME A WELCOMING FAM-ILY. AS WE ARE UNITED WITH GOD, SO WE BECOME ONE WITH EACH OTHER. OUR ANCESTORS PASSED ON THE CATH-OLIC FAITH AND MORALS TO THEIR FAMILIES AND NOW IT IS OUR TURN.
WE RESPOND TO ONE ANOTHER IN THE SPIRIT OF NUR-TURING, HEALING AND CARING.
WE ARE A SMALL BUT GIVING COMMUNITY, DEDICATED TO THE SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF THE FAMILY, THE PARISH AND THE COMMUNITY.
WE FIND OUR STRENGTH, WISDOM AND DIRECTION THROUGH CHRIST. WE ARE STRONGLY COMMITTED TO THE CATHOLIC EDUCATION OF ANYONE WHO SEEKS GODS TRUTH.
WE ENVISION THIS PARISH COMMUNITY AS A BRIGHT LIGHT FOR THE FUTURE TO CARRY ON THE MISSION OF CHRIST. NOT ONLY FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THIS COMMU-NITY, BUT ALSO FOR THE MANY PEOPLE WHO VISIT.

THE WORD OF GOD UNCHAINED There is no chaining the word of God! But how many times do we attempt to do that very thing? Had the followers of Jesus or the teachers of the law or the Pharisees been asked if the lepers should be cleansed or healed, the answer would most likely have been, “No, they deserve their condition.” The lepers would have been, perhaps, a mixed group, Galileans and Samaritans alike, the bond of their awful disease overcoming the pettiness of former religious bickering. Jesus’ actions once again illustrate his vocation and ours: to reach out when healing is needed, to challenge when conversion is needed, to console when comfort is needed. He also follows his own advice from last week’s Gospel: do what you have been commanded to do. When the cleansed Sa-maritan has returned to give thanks, Jesus does not take it as an opportunity for self-aggrandizement, but rather offers insight into faith. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
