‘Father’s Answer to fear’

The words that you are about to read are not the words of some man; they are the tried and tested, they are anointed, and power filled words of the loving God spoken just for you, words to meet your every need.

It is a Fathers letter to a son or daughter in distress, a child who knows pain and sorrow intimately; perhaps today you are filled with fear of what the future holds, perhaps you feel like life’s not worth living, well read his words again and again, allow His words, his promises to heal your mind and body and make you free.

O’ Why are you fearful oh you of little faith? (Matthew 8:26) Have I not declared ‘do not fear sudden disasters or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for I the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared? (Proverbs 3: 21-26)

‘So then my own and precious child; banish anxiety from your heart, put evil away from you, and remember your Creator in the days of your youth’ (Ecclesiastes 11:10 12:1) for indeed I promise, ‘I will keep you in perfect peace as your mind is fixed on me’ (Isaiah 26:3)

‘I am he who ‘has chosen you and not rejected you. So then do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand’ (Isaiah41:9)

Know in your heart that, ‘Those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish ... for I am the Lord, I am your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel’ (Isaiah 41:10-14)

‘I the Lord am near to you; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests unto the Lord your

God’ (Philippians 4:4-6)

‘I am the everlasting God, the place of your safety; my arms will hold you up forever’ (Deuteronomy 33:27)

‘Fear not. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today... I am the Lord and I will fight for you; you need only to be still’ (Exodus 14:13-14)

‘Be strong and of good courage, Do not be afraid or terrified because of your enemies, it is I the Lord your God who goes with you; have I not promised that I will not fail you nor forsake you’ (Deuteronomy 31:6)

‘Listen intently to my words for I am God, I am ‘he who created you, he who formed you… ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name;

you are mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you ... when you walk through the fire you will not be burned ... for I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour ... and I love you’. ... (Isaiah 43:1-4)

‘I am he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: ‘Do not be afraid; is there any God besides me? No; I know not one. (Isaiah 44:2-8)

Have I not said, ‘Have faith in God’ (Mark 11:22)

‘Do not fear…. do not let your hands hang down for I the Lord your God am with you, I am mighty to save. I will take great delight in you, and will quiet you with my love, I will rejoice over you with singing. I am he that will undo all that afflicts you’…. And ‘I will turn back your captivity’ (Zephaniah 3:16-20)

‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? ... And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. ... (Matthew 6:25-28)

So do not worry, saying, 'What shall I eat?' or 'What shall I drink?' or 'What shall I wear? Therefore do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself, each day has enough trouble of its own’ (Matthew 6:31-34)

‘Commit your way unto me the Lord your God; trust also in me; and I shall bring it to pass’’ (Psalm 37:5)

Listen beloved; ‘if they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say ... So do not be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known... (Matthew 10:19-26)

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. ... (Matthew 10:28:)

‘Fear not; are not two sparrows sold for a penny and one of them shall fall on the ground without me knowing; fear not therefore you are worth more than many sparrows’ (Matthew 10:29:31)

‘When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must

happen first, but the end will not come right away’ (Luke 21:9)

Have you not heard that ‘I am your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble’ (Psalm 46:1)

Therefore once again I say to you; ‘do not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea’ (Psalm 46:1-2)

Simply ‘Be still and know that I am God, know that the Lord of hosts is with you… I am your refuge’ (Psalm 46:10-11)

In the midst of trouble and fear remember my promise for; ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

Have I not promised that ‘you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free’ (John 8:32)

‘Why are you cast down, why are you disquieted within, hope in me for I am the health of your countenance’ and ‘your exceeding great joy’ (Psalm 43:4-5)

Know this my child ‘I am your light and your salvation - who shall you fear? I am the stronghold of your life … who then shall you fear? (Psalm 27:1)

Though an army besiege you, your heart will not fear; though war break out against you, even then you will be confident’ (Psalm 27:3)

I am he ‘that is on your side’ what then can man do to you’ (Psalm 118:6) I am the Lord you helper’ (Hebrews 13:5-6)

Know that ‘it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man’ (Psalm 118:8)

I am ‘the Lord your rock, your fortress, your deliverer; I am God, ‘your strength, trust in me for my word is ‘your shield’ (Psalm 91:4) I am the power of your salvation, and your high tower’ (Psalm 18:2)

Ask yourself; ‘Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? ...even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed’ ‘Do not fear what others fear; do not

be troubled’ ‘But in your hearts allow Christ to be Lord’ (1 Peter 3:13-15)

Have I not said; ‘I am the Lord and I shall help you, and deliver you: I shall deliver you from the wicked, and save you, because you trust in me’ (Psalm 37:40)

Understand my child; if the blood of bulls and lambs could cleanse the vilest of sinners (Leviticus 1) if peace could be purchased with unleavened cakes and bread (Leviticus 7:11-15) if the blood of a bird could cleanse a leper (Leviticus

14:4-7) how much more the blood of my risen exalted Son?

‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand’ (Isaiah 41:10)

‘When you are troubled and distressed ... break out into singing …‘enlarge the place of your dwelling ...your descendants will dispossess nations ... do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame. (Isaiah 54:1-4)

I am your Maker … your husband ... the Holy One of Israel who is your Redeemer’ (Isaiah 54:5)

‘Yes, even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you need fear no evil, for I am with you; my rod and my staff, they comfort you’ (Psalm 23)

‘Therefore take courage!! It is I Do not be afraid; just believe’ (Luke 8:50)

When you heart is filled with fear remember my words, ‘Cast all your anxieties on me because I care for you’ (1 Peter 5:7)

‘Be strong, do not fear; for I your God will come, even I will come ... to save, to heal and to deliver you’ (Isaiah 35:4-5)

‘Do not fear the terror of the night, nor the plague that walks in darkness, neither fear the destruction that ruins in the light of day … no evil shall befall you and no plague shall come near you’ (Psalm 91:6-10)

Fear not for, ‘No weapon that is fashioned against you will prosper’ (Isaiah 54:17)

My child; Have you not heard, have you not read that I, the Lord, your Abba, your Father ‘did not give you a spirit of fear, rather of power, of love and of a sound mind’ (2 Timothy 1:7)

My beloved child; have you not heard that ‘where my Spirit is, there is liberty’ (2

Corinthians 3:17) not pain and sorrow.

Therefore ‘be still and know that ‘you are of me my little child and he that is in you is greater than he that is in the world’ (1 John 4:4)

Beloved, ‘There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear brings torment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love’ (1 John 4:18)

‘Herein is love, not that you first loved me but that I loved you and sent my Son to be an atoning victim for your sins’ (1 John 4:10)

Why then should you be fearful? For ‘I am love, if you dwell in love you dwell in

me and I in you’ (1 John 4:16)

Listen carefully my child, If ‘I am for you who can stand against you’ (Romans 8:31)

Have you not known, ‘It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man’ (Psalm 118:8)

Come now, ‘Trust in me with all your heart; and lean not unto you own understanding’ (Proverbs 3:5) ‘in all your ways acknowledge me, and I shall direct your paths’ (Proverbs 3:6)

If you, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall I as your Father which is in heaven give good things when you ask me? (Matthew 7:11)

Have I not declared that I myself ‘took your infirmities and carried your sicknesses and that by my stripes you were healed’ (Matthew 8:17)

Have I not given the ‘gift of eternal life’ (John 10:28) to all who trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ my Son’

‘Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage’ (Galatians 5:1) for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin and death’ (Romans 8:2)

Be confident in this truth my child, ‘If my Son therefore has made you free, you shall be free indeed’ (John 8:36)

‘Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution... Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. (Revelation 2:10)

I say again; ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades’ (Revelation 1:17-18) you heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you

Rejoice at all times for I have given unto you ‘an inheritance, incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven just for you’ it is by my power alone that you are kept through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.(1Peter 1:4-5)

So again I say ‘rejoice in me always and again I say rejoice’ (Philippians 4:4)

Summary;Jesus himself said; you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free, (John 8:32) when you begin to realize the truth that God is love you can then

reach out in faith knowing that he wills to give you freedom from pain, sickness, disease and distress.

God loves you without measure, he longs for you to be made whole, his ‘greatest wish is that you may prosper financially and to be in perfect soundness of health’ (3John 2)

Put far from you the foolishness of thinking that he sent fear and sickness your way: ask yourself, would your natural father want you to be sick in order to teach you something?

God is love; would someone who loves you, hurt you? Knowing that God declares his will to see you in perfect health, would he then make you sick?

Read again and again this Letter from your Father in heaven and give him your fears and your pain, ask him through Christ to heal you and to make you free, for ‘he stands over his words to perform them’

Perhaps you have never asked Christ to be your Lord and saviour, if so you need his forgiveness and his salvation, why not ask him to save and rescue you and to

give you life eternal; pray something after this manner….

Heavenly Father; I confess that I am a sinner and ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus, your Son, died on the cross to pay the consequences, the penalty for all my sins. Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that God raised you

from the dead so please come into my life be my Saviour and Lord and help me to become the person you want me to be and to live always for you.

Holy Spirit please come and fill me with the knowledge of Christ; thank you Lord for your forgiveness and for your assurance that I will spend eternity

with you in heaven forever. Amen
